Rail & Road Auctions is proud to present a timed auction featuring nearly 250 lots of railroad slides totaling nearly 4700 images! EVERY SLIDE has been scanned and digitized, so you can see exactly what you’re purchasing. We’ve also added a number of railroad key words to aid in searching for slides that fit subjects of your interest.
This auction is made up of primarily a one owner collection. The owner resided in Western Illinois but was fascinated by railroads all over the midwest. You’ll see traction and interurban from all over the United States, CB&Q / Illini Rail Club Steam Excursions, Union Pacific Steam Excursions, DM&IR Yellowstone excursion, early Disneyland and Santa Fe, Norfolk & Western Steam, GM&O, Illinois Terminal, New York Central, Durango & Silverton, and so much more. The depth of this collection is outstanding.
Something that we also feel is a very unique option for all of our slide auctions is our digital download service. Since Rail & Road has already created high resolution scans of every slide in the auction, we are able to offer them to our successful bidders. For each lot you purchase, you’ll be able to purchase a link to download the digital images for $5.00 PER LOT. You do not have to purchase every lot digitally, you may pick and choose. Lots will be delivered via Dropbox link, or if you wish you can purchase the lots on a USB drive that can be mailed to you along with your slides (additional cost applies for the USB drive based on the size required).

By purchasing slides in this auction you agree that you are purchasing these slides for private, personal use only. The sale of these materials in no way, shape, or form transfers the copyright from the original photographer to the purchaser. You may not purchase these slides for publication.
Bidding Increments are as follows:
$5-50 = $1.00 Bids
$51-$100 = $5.00 Bids
$100+ = $10.00 Bids
This auction is exclusive to the Rail & Road Auctions bidding platform.
This is a no reserve auction. The high bidder is the winner.
Slides are ungraded and sold as is with absolutely no returns. Rail & Road will disclose any known condition issues that we feel are detrimental to the condition of the slides.
This is a timed auction. There will be no “live” bidding to close the auction.
The lots will begin to close at 10AM Eastern on SUNDAY DECEMBER 10th. The lots will close in order. If bids are placed within the final minute, the lot will extend by 60 seconds.
