Rail & Road Auctions specializes in the collectibles and artifacts that tell the story of transportation. From airline memorabilia and scale aircraft to historic aviation hardware, archives, advertising, and ephemera, we bring the same specialized approach to aviation that has shaped our company from the beginning.
Our auctions have developed a strong following among collectors of scale aircraft, airline memorabilia, and aviation material. We welcome inquiries about aviation collections of all sizes, from established collections of scale aircraft and airline memorabilia to significant historic artifacts, hardware, archives, and institutional collections.

- Airline Memorabilia – China, silver, glassware, dining menus, advertising, promotional material, signs, displays, uniforms, and service items
- Aviation Archives & Ephemera – Manuals, drawings, blueprints, photographs, correspondence, airline guides, timetables, route maps, tickets, postcards, playing cards, brochures, and related paper
- Military & Historic Aviation – Memorabilia, artifacts, photographs, documents, and material associated with military aircraft, personnel, manufacturers, and aviation history
- Scale & Die-Cast Aircraft – An established area for Rail & Road, including collections of Corgi, Dinky, Herpa, GeminiJets, Dragon Wings, Inflight, Aviation 200, JC Wings, Daron, Hogan Wings, and other manufacturers
- Aviation Toys & Advertising – Vintage toys, promotional models, advertising pieces, displays, and other aviation-related collectibles
- Unusual & Specialized Collections – Manufacturer archives, airline collections, aviation artwork, prototypes, technical material, and collections that don’t fit neatly into a single category

Not sure exactly what you have? That’s okay. Specialized collections don’t always fit neatly into a category, and you don’t need to identify or organize everything before contacting us. A few photographs and a conversation are often enough for us to begin evaluating a collection.

There is no requirement that your collection be organized, inventoried, or ready for auction before you contact us.

Large and specialized collections aren’t always easy to move. That’s part of the service we provide.
Rail & Road can travel throughout the United States to evaluate, pack, and transport qualifying collections to our Lafayette, Indiana facility. Our team can work with you to develop a plan based on the size of the collection, its location, accessibility, and your individual circumstances.
Once material arrives at Rail & Road, our team handles the process from beginning to end—including cataloging, photography, marketing, auction presentation, bidder support, payment, and shipping to successful buyers.
Our auctions reach collectors throughout the United States and internationally through our own bidding platform and additional online bidding channels.
