Online Auction Begins at 10 AM Eastern
Our Thursday sale will feature an outstanding group of Fire memorabilia including call / alarm boxes, gongs, lanterns, badges, and more. The fire memorabilia begins with lot 1040 and continues through the end of the Thursday sale.
Highlights of the fire memorabilia include multiple examples of Dietz Fire King and Queen lanterns, some marked for American LaFrance, Cole mechanical fire alarm telegraph transmitter, Peerless cast iron pull box with telegraph transmitter, Seagrave brass fire truck bell, Gamewell pull box with mechanism and key, Steam Gauge and Lantern Company fire lantern, a number of electric fire gongs / bells in various sizes, porcelain signs, brass extinguishers and much more. This group also includes many parts lanterns, reproduction split color globes, fire nozzles, skaters lanterns, reproduction lantern hooks for fire wagons and trucks, and more.
We will also have a nice selection of Railroad memorabilia on our first day. Railroad highlights include A General Electric 50 ton builders plate, Western Electric scissor dispatchers phone with foot pedal, multiple conductors lanterns including J.H. Kelly, C.T. Ham, Kelly Lamp Works, and more. There is also a wide selection of railroad timetables and paper. Timetables include many different railroads both employee and public tables. Paper highlights include a few very nice name train lots including the New York Central 20th Century Limited, Commodore Vanderbilt, Mercury, Pennsylvania Broadway Limited, and more. We will also have railroad lamps, signage, lanterns, locks, telegraphic items, and more.

Our second day is highlighted by collectibles and fine art both related to Railroad and Automotive transportation. The highlight of the day is lot 1400 an 1892 Rio Grande Southern Otto Mears Silver Filigree Pass No. 479 with the original leather pouch. This well documented pass was issued to G.W. Pratt of Oshkosh Wisconsin and has been a part of a private collection for many decades.
Before we arrive at lot 1400 we have an outstanding group of both automotive and railroad art to present. The automotive works are highlighted by original paintings from Henry Kolodziej, Dennis Brown, John Kreiger, Don Weiland, Charles Harvey, and more. The railroad art is highlighted by western / narrow gauge artist Art Olds, Edward Paulson, A.P. Maurcie, F. Wonderoth Sounders, and more. The automotive art features many cars produced from the late 1920’s through the 1950’s including Dodge, Cadillac, Cord, MG, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Packard, and more.
The railroadiana in the Friday sale is also diverse and wide ranging from a full Miniature Train Company set of E bodies down to passes and keys. Highlights of the railroadiana include a Lima New York Central 0-8-0 builders plate, New York Central Alco J1e Hudson builders photograph, Missouri Pacific Everest, Kansas depot board, Montreal Locomotive Works MR-14C Canadian National builders plate, Harrington train order blade, Railway Express Agency porcelain sign, railroad color blindness screening set, 60 degree cat eye cross buck, pre 1930 Michigan Central Niagara Falls collotype, and more.
This sale also has a group of unique patent models including a railroad switch / interlocking tower strong arm model, 1852 Peter Guiou steam locomotive spark arrestor patent model, and English flagmans kit patent model.
Also included is a well rounded group of locks, passes, keys, and lanterns from a large number of uncommon roads, many located in the southern Gulf and midwest regions of the United States.
