Thursday January 8th
This sale represents Part 1 of a multi-auction offering from the Edward Egan Collection, with the majority of the china and silver in Day 1 drawn directly from his long-held collection. Features a variety of popular patterns and some rare pieces from Santa Fe, Pennsylvania Railroad, Union Pacific, Chicago Burlington & Quincy, Baltimore & Ohio, Norfolk & Western, Southern Railway, Louisville & Nashville, Soo Line, Western Pacific, and more.
Beyond dining service, the sale includes a broad assortment of uniform hardware, cap badges, service insignia, and corporate seals, along with additional railroad smalls that document the operational and public-facing side of railroad service. Conductor and porter badges, operational accessories, and related material appear throughout the catalog, offering a wide range of collecting entry points alongside the higher-value dining service material.
