Our Thursday sale features a wide array of railroadiana including lanterns, china, paper, advertising, uniform buttons, and more. Some of the notable lots include a Handlan Chesapeake and Ohio caboose marker lamp, Toledo, Ottawa Beach & Northern restored classification lamp, early Pennsylvania Railroad paper, Western Electric candlestick dispatchers phone w/ scissor mount, Lake Shore & Michigan Southern extended base clear globe, 1933 Big Four / New York Central retirement certificate with the original mailing tube, Monon cordial glasses along with other assorted Monon china and silver, various lots of Wabash Railroad china, pair of Armspear Lanterns converted to table lamps, Illinois Central Land O’ Corn coffee cup and saucer set along with a 10 ¾” dinner plate, railroad / traffic lens group, original Monon alligator match safe, a lot with 135 glass telegraph insulators, and much more.

Our Friday session includes the marquee items for our March sale. These items include a Griswold Rotating Stop Banner Crossing Signal, pair of Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway aluminum passenger car Kachina medallions, Philadelphia, Wilmington & Baltimore fancy back brass lock, a Western Sandblasting drum head from Boston & Maine’s “Rye Beach”, an original Baltimore and Ohio cast brass locomotive nose plate, and the original artwork for the book “Superpower” by David Weitzman. Also, the inclusion of a number of decks of railroad playing cards. Some of these decks are rated V5-V7 on the rarity scale and present in fine condition. Rail & Road will be handling a very large transportation playing card collection over the coming months, and we invite you to keep a close eye on the catalogs for some incredible decks of playing cards.
