Step 1: Welcome to the Rail & Road bidding platform! From this main page you can locate all of our current auctions as well as our previous listings. To get started click on any current listing to take you to the catalog.

Step 2: Once viewing the catalog, if you have not registered to bid for the auction you’ll be able to click the register to bid button below any lot in the catalog.

Step 3:  If you’ve bid with us on this platform, log in and skip to step 6 to register for the auction. If you’re a first time bidder, click on “No Account? Sign Up Here”

Step 4: To register your new account with Rail & Road fill in the required fields and click the continue button. If you’d like to be updated via email on your bidding activity including outbid notices, upcoming auctions, etc., make sure you check the box that says, “Receive Bidding Notifications Via Email”.

Step 5: To continue the process please read through our terms and conditions, agree by checking the box, and conclude registering your new account by clicking, ” Sign Up” Once you have signed up, you can log into your new account and proceed to then register for upcoming auctions.

Step 6: Once logged into your account, refer to step 3 and click the, “Register to Bid” button.  In the Register to Bid window, please fill out your information and then click continue.

Step 7: Please read through the auction terms, check the, “I Agree with the Terms of Use” box, and then click continue.

Step 8: Verify that you have a valid credit or debit card by filling in the appropriate information. Rail & Road does not store your card number on file, nor do we charge this card after the auction.  This card is used only to help establish your identity as a valid bidder. When finished, click the, “Register” button.

Step 9: That’s it! Rail & Road Auctions manually verifies all new bidders before they are allowed to register for an auction. Please allow 24-48 hours for approval. Step 10: Once approved, the button located below each lot will change to, “Prebid” which means your have been successfully approved and can now participate in the pre bidding and live bidding for this auction at Rail & Road Auctions.
