1 - Seven Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Operating Rules, Safety Rules, and Engineman's Car and Locomotive Info Booklets

Includes three Operating Rules booklets, three Safety Rules booklets, and Engineman's Car and Locomotive Information including Air Brake and Train Handling Instructions. Booklets date from the Fall of 1986 and 1987, all in very good condition.

2 - Adlake Southern Pacific Railroad Switch Lamp

Lamp is unrestored and does not have the burner pot. A body tag stamped S.P. is still present but nearly detached. Adlake manufactures tag on the chimney has a last patent date of 1907. Day targets show rust and wear to the porcelain.

3 - Three Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / Nippon Sharyo Electric Car Operating Manuals

Includes three like new manuals. One is a September 1982 issued manual which would have been with the original delivery of these cars. The other two are February 1990 updates. All in like new condition.

4 - Baltimore and Ohio Railroad No Trespassing Metal Sign

Sign measures 17" x 10" and is painted on the metal. Lists C.E. Bertrand as Vice President. He held that position from 1961 to 1963 which would date the sign from those years. Sign shows minor wear and light rust staining in the field.

5 - Six Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Ticket Punches

Group of six ticket punches. No manufacturer or railroad markings. These punches all have unique punch outs and were well used by the railroad. Some have light flaking of the plating or are slow to return to their ready to use position. See photos for best description.

6 - Pennsylvania Railroad Tin Drinking Cup

Cup is embossed with the Pennsylvania keystone herald and does have some light flash rust around the outside. No major pitting or rust through. There is the faint traces of a name etched on the underside of the cup which might become legible with cleaning.

7 - 1938 List of Coal and Coke Operations on the Norfolk and Western #11 w/ Map

Measures 8 1/4" x 11 3/8 ". Nicely embossed -semi rigid front and rear cover. Book details all of the coal and coke plants that served the N&W in 1938, how to contact them, and the regions of the N&W they served. Booklet is in like new condition with no rips, tears, etc.

8 - Porcelain "No Smoking" Sign

Sign measures 12" x 4" and has moderate chipping in the field and a slight bend to the sign, See photos for best description.

9 - Five Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / Nippon Sharyo Electric Car Operating and Shop Training Manuals

Includes September 1982 Running Maintenance and Trouble Shooting Manual, November 1982 Introduction and Car Familiarization Training Program Manual, November 1982 Truck Training Program Manual, and two May 1994 updated Running Maintenance and Trouble Shooting Manuals without binders. All are in very good condition.

10 - 20 MPH Railroad Speed Limit Sign w/ Plastic Cat Eye Reflectors

Steel sign measuring 10 1/2" x 9 1/2". The numbers are attached to the sign via rivets and are equipped with plastic cat eye reflectors. Sign has a few minor scratches, but is overall very clean.

11 - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / NICTD Nippon Sharyo Commuter Car #4 Pair of Stainless Steel Lessor Plates

Plates both measure 27" x 9 3/4" Plates are stainless steel with etched black lettering. The reverse of each plate has Car 4 North or South side written in soap stone. Plates are used but in good condition. See photos for best description.

12 - Norfolk and Western Railroad "Hamburger" Reflective Decal Mounted to Masonite

Decal measures 24" in diameter and has two small 1/2" tears at the right edge. Decal has light wear and is likely new old stock that was mounted to the Masonite board for display.

13 - This group of EMD / Electro-Motive / General Motors Maintenance and Parts Books, Plus Westinghouse Diagrams, and Blue Prints

This group of EMD / Electro-Motive / General Motors maintenance and parts books includes - 567C Engine Maintenance Manual, Replacement Parts Catalogs #300, 301, and 310 which cover the 567D , 645, 567 (A,B,BC,C and E), and SW1000 and 1500. Also included is a Training Center "Switcher Class" manual, binder with four 1989-1991 diesel locomotive replacement part price books, two color large Westinghouse Airbrake Diagrams, and two Wilson Engineering Blue Prints for sun shade roof mounting and radiation element arrangements for diesel locomotives both dated 1951. 14 - Dressel Pennsylvania Caboose Marker Lamp

Lamp is in unrestored condition with paint loss, dirt, etc. Pennsylvania Keystone herald stamped into the door. The burn pot is intact. One red and one amber lens installed.

15 - Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railroad 2002 Adlake Harriman Award Lantern

Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railroad Adlake Kero brass plated red globe lantern. Presented as part of the 2002 Harriman award, lantern is embossed with Harriman EJ&E 2002 around the shoulder. Short red globe etched with "The J" circle logo. Lantern is unfired.

16 - Erie Railroad Metal Drinking Cup Dispenser

The dispenser measures 11 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" wide. Original metal tag riveted to the front with the Erie diamond herald. Dispenser shows evidence of multiple coats of paint over the years. Top of the lid is slightly bent upwards. Original wooden mount which screwed to the wall of the car is included.

17 - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Conductors Hat

Size 7 1/4. Manufacture is unmarked. Typical of the hats used by the CSSB in the 1980's and beyond. Screw back brass conductors badge on the front. Hat appears to be unworn. See photos for best description.

18 - Reading Railroad 6355 Air Brake Diagram Cast Iron Plate

Plate measures 13 1/2" x 5 1/2" and has been restored. Plate has RDG 6355 cast into the edge of the plate.

19 - EMD / Electro-Motive Bessemer and Lake Erie SD38-2 Builders Plate

Measures 15" x 4 1/2". Dated 5-73,serial number 72677-5. Reverse marked with the railroad, model, and scrapping year of 1982. Plate is in good condition with minor staining and dirt around the edges. No major condition issues.

20 - Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad C-14316 ACF Air Brake Diagram Cast Iron Plate.

Plate measures 12 1/4" x 5" and has been restored. Plate has C. & O. PATT. C-113-303 cast into the edge of the plate.

21 - 1969 Union Pacific Golden Spike Centennial Memorabilia

This group includes Union Pacific Golden Spike Expo Train brochure, 2 1/2" Centennial medallion, Golden Spike official album with mailer, Golden Spike brochure, Golden Spike National Historic site token, and 1969 Union Pacific safety award tape measure. 22 - V 13151 Air Brake Diagram Cast Aluminum Plate

Plate measures 11" x 5" and is made from cast aluminum and has V 13151 cast into the top edge. No railroad markings. Plate has been restored.

23 - Group of five EMD / Electro-Motive / General Motors Locomotives Marked Gauges

Includes two 843726 air gauges, 8032123 lube oil pressure gauge, 8416452 2600 Gal. fuel tank gauge, and engine inlet temp gauge face only.

24 - Erie Railroad Newark Branch Steel Gate Sign

Painted metal sign measures 28" x 10 1/2" and has corner and edge wear to the paint. The sign also has a light bend vertically through the center of the sign.

25 - Pullman 3954F Thermos pitcher, Lake I-4 Santa Fe silver spoon, and Canadian Pacific Hotels bottle opener

Pullman 3954F Thermos pitcher, Lake I-4 Santa Fe silver spoon, and Canadian Pacific Hotels bottle opener. Thermos pitcher has moderate nicking but Pullman is still very legible. Good markings on the other two items.

26 - Pair of New York Central RPO Candle Lamps w/ Brackets and Pyrex Glass

Both brackets stamped with NYCS. One painted in black, the other in gray. Both include the wall mounting brackets and Pyrex marked glass. Both are stamped NYCS on the body mounting bracket. Minor paint chips on the bodies, but otherwise nice clean condition.

27 - Sherburne Co. Brass Railroad Caboose Whistle

Cast with Sherburne Co. Boston Mass. Includes adaptor fitting for smaller air inlet line. See photos for best description.

28 - American Bridge Company Cast Iron Patent Plate

Plate measures 4 1/2" x 3". The plate reads, " American Bridge Co. Patented United States March 11, 1924 in Canada AUG. 28, 1928. Unrestored with surface rust.

29 - Group of three Adlake Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Locks

All three bodies are stamped CSS with Adlake embossed on the key covers. No keys. Shackle pins are stamped 79, 79, and 84. Lock bodies were repainted silver at some point and include links of original chain. See photos for best description.

30 - Railroad Passenger Car Truck Locked Center Pin Cast Iron Railroad Plate

Plate measures 10 1/2" x 2 3/4". The plate reads, "Locked Center Pin Remove From Inside". Unrestored with light surface rust.

31 - Colorado & Wyoming Railway Adlake Lock

Stamped C&W RY on the lock body with 78 stamped on the shackle pin. Includes original links of chain. No key.

32 - Group of Three Lovell Hand Lamps w/ Caged Color Globes - 570F

Group of three lanterns with wooden handles. These were designed to have an electrical cord run through the handle and attach to the bulb mount inside the globes. Lights measure approximately 14 1/2" tall. All three are in good condition. See photos for best description.

33 - Southern Pacific Brass Sunset Logo Railroad Lock

Southern Pacific sunset logo cast into the front of the body with vertical single bit key hole. Shackle has two stampings which are hard to read due to light oxidation. Body overall has no major issues but does have light oxidation. No makers marks.

34 - Porcelain Railway Express Agency Baggage Cart End Sign

Sign measures 11" x 11" and is a porcelain sign bolted to a steel backing plate which was attached to the end of the baggage car. The plate is clean with a nice field. Minor chipping at the edges and light rust staining around the bolt heads. The steel backing plate does have rust where it was attached to the baggage cart upright.

35 - Pair of Keline Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad Locks w/ Keys

Pair of locks both stamped IHB RR on the lock body with Keline embossed into the key cover. One key is an Adlake marked key with IHB RR stamped on the hilt. The other is unmarked and also stamped IHB RR. Both locks function as intended with original chain attached.

36 - Trapezoidal Cast Iron Railroad Whistle Sign

Sign Measures 17 3/4" wide at the top, 12" at the bottom, and 12" tall. Sign has some minor paint chipping, sign does have casting numbers on the front which have been obscured by layers of paint. See photos for best description.

37 - Seven Chicago Railroad Fair Brochures and Programs 1948, 1949, 1950

Group includes 1948 and 1949 programs plus the 1950 Chicago fair program which took place on the site of the railroad fair, three Santa Fe Indian Village brochures including one 1948 and two 1949, and Western Pacific Cable Car brochure. All paper is in good condition with only light reader wear.

38 - Handlan No. 151 Hocking Valley Railroad Restored Switch Lamp

Embossed tag on the lid reads HV RY. Body has been repainted and day targets have new hardware installed. Day targets have some minor chipping at the edge.

39 - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / Nippon Sharyo Car #41 1983 Builders Plate w/ Accident History

This 1983 Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / Nippon Sharyo Lexan / Plexiglass builders plate has been mounted on a custom made wooden plaque. On the reverse of the plaque is the history of the plate as told by Jim Klodzen. This plate was removed from car #41 which was totaled on October 31, 1986 when the car struck a semi truck loaded with a steel coil. There were no fatalities in the accident but 29 were injured. Plate is in like new condition. See photos for best description.

40 - Electro-Motive / EMD Baltimore and Ohio SD40-2 Builders Plate

Locomotive started life as Baltimore and Ohio #4123 which became CSX 6023 and 6534. Plate has a build date of 9-72. Serial number is 7365-26. Plate has fading of the blue GM loco, and is otherwise in good condition.

41 - 200 + Railroad Tie Date Nails

Nearly seven pounds of date nails. Many date from the 1930's and 1940's Sold as is shown in the photos with no returns.

42 - General Electric U28-B Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Builders Plate

Locomotive started life as P&LE / New York Central #2819. Plate has a build date of MAR. 1966. Serial number is 35875. Plate is in good condition with some edge wear. Good rivet holes.

43 - Group of Sixteen Broken Railroad Ticket Punches - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad

No manufacturer or railroad markings. All have missing springs or other moderate defects. See photos for best description.

44 - Boston and Maine Flagman / Brakeman Kit

Box Only. Kit shows paint wear and is embossed with B&M RR on the lid. Measures 21 1/2" x 5 1/2"

45 - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Nippon Commuter Car Classification Light plus additional Trans Lite marker lights

Trans Lite three color aspect marker light from the front of the Nippon South Shore cars. Stainless plate with cast iron rings. One ring broken. Measures 19 1/2" x 7 1/4". Also included are two Trans-Lite EM-4606 lights which were used as lower marker lights, these appear to be new old stock. See photos for best description.

46 - J.H. Bonnell Telegraph Key on Board w/ E.S. Greeley & Co. Sounder

Telegraph key has a patent date of FEB 15. 1881. The underside of the board has a J.H. Bonnell & Co. Tag w/ 150 OHMS marked on it. The sounder on the board does not appear to be the original sounder and instead is a E.S. Greeley with an address of 5&7 Dey St. New York. The screws used to mount the sounder to the board are short which have allowed the sounder to pull free. See photos for best description.

47 - 5 Railroad Hand Lanterns Starlite, Star Headlight, Adlake

Group of five lanterns include Starlite 215TL (100th Anniversary stamping), 222, Star Headlight, Adlake 31C with additional owner markings, and Adlake 31-D. Group sold as is shown in the photos. All in good condition with no condition issues beyond normal railroad wear.

48 - Restored Wabash Railroad Morton Passenger Car Step Box

Restored Wabash Railroad Morton Steel Step Box. Nicely restored with new paint and rubber foot pads. Base measures 18" x 13" No manufactures tag. Front of the step embossed, WABASH.

49 - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Locomotive / Commuter Car Gauges - Voltage Panel, Speedometer, Air Brake Gauges

Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Locomotive / Commuter Car Gauges. Includes 14 1/2" x 9" voltage panel w/ AC Volts and Hertz meters. Also included is a New York Air Brake Company N-9940 main brake duplex PSI gauge, General Electric 4706AC speedometer, and Prime P-40170 duplex air gauge. See photos for best description.

50 - C.T. Ham Lantern Wooden Shipping Crate for No. 22 Cold Blast Lanterns

Crate measures 17" x 21 1/2" x 12". Crate is missing one section of the lid. The stampings on the ends of the crate are difficult to read, but we can make out that the crate was used for No. 22 Cold Blast Lanterns. See photos for best description.

51 - Conrail / Penn Central / Chicago, Missouri & Western GP38 #7777 Locomotive Number Board Pair

Pair of boards measure 30 3/8" x 10 7/8". Conrail style boards with mild wear but no chips, cracks, or breaks. See photos for best description. Locomotive was purchased from Conrail by the short lived Chicago, Missouri & Western which allowed the locomotive to spend time operating on the South Shore.

52 - Illinois Central Railroad "The Shawnee" Gate Sign

Sign measures 36 1/2" by 24 1/2". There is damage to the upper left corner of the sign as well as some scuffing on the plexi glass front. See photos for best description.

53 - Amtrak Trainman Hat w/ Santa Fe Buttons

Hat shows signs of being in service w/ screwback Amtrak Trainman badge and Santa Fe matched pair of side buttons. Brim shows light cracking but is intact. Side wicker also shows light wear.

54 - Adlake / Adams & Westlake Railroad Switch Lamp

Lamp is not marked for a specific railroad and retains its' original manufacturing tag with a last patent date of August 1907. The original burner is included and in good condition.

55 - Western Pacific Railroad First Aid Kit

Kit is a metal box and is empty. Measures 9 1/2" x 9 1/2". Shows paint loss and wear, lid is slightly bent, but closes and latches with no issues.

56 - Adlake Partially Restored Railroad Switch Lamp

Lamp has no specific railroad markings. Repainted body with new lenses and a Dressel burner pot. Some minor bends to the lens hoods, but otherwise good condition.

57 - Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / NICTD Nippon Sharyo Commuter Car #11 Pair of Stainless Steel Lessor Plates

Plates both measure 27" x 9 3/4" Plates are stainless steel with etched black lettering. The reverse of each plate has Car 11 North or South side written in soap stone. Plates are used but in good condition. See photos for best description.

58 - Erie Railroad Signal Marker w/ Porcelain Numbers & Bracket.

Marked as 70-1M and includes a note that this location was on the Erie Railroad Mahoning division northwest of Warren, Michigan. Measures 7" x 36 1/2" See photos for best description.

59 - Restored Dietz Acme Inspector Lamp

Body and fount of the lamp have been restored. Globe is an embossed Dietz Fitzall. Body is very straight with no major dents or dings. No railroad markings.

60 - Railroad Signal Marker w/ Porcelain Numbers & Pole Mount Brackets

Marker measures 50" x 5 1/2". Pole mount brackets are for 5 1/2" diameter pole. See photos for best description.

61 - Four Sets of Nickel Plate Railroad Playing Cards - Four Decks Sealed

Four sets of Nickel Plate playing cars including plastic blue case w/ herald, unmarked clear case, fuzzy lid with center herald, and fuzzy lid box with herald in lower right and railroad name spelled out in the center of the box. Four of the eight decks in the boxes are sealed in the celo and the other four packs do appear to be complete but have split celo on the top of the decks. Set lid with the herald in the lower right has one tear in the apron with light wear, the other three are in like new condition.

62 - Union Pacific Railroad Brass Pyrene Fire Extinguisher

Embossed with Union Pacifc on the top end by the handle. Extinguisher is unrestored with the original wall bracket. Minor denting at the bottom of the extinguisher and some loss of the paint on the Pyrene plate.

63 - Allis Chalmers Leasing Corporation Trust Plate

Measures 18" x 3 3/4". Plate has raised lettering which reads, " Allis-Chalmers Leasing Corporation Owner and Lessor" Plate has mild wear and slight bend at the center of the plate.

64 - Central-Penn National Bank Trust Plate

Stainless steel plate measuring 23 1/4" x 2 1/2". Plate has normal wear and discoloration of the metal from age. See photos for best description.

65 - Powell 2 1/2" Diameter Three Chime Whistle w/ 1" Inlet

Powell 2 1/2" Diameter Three Chime Whistle w/ 1" Inlet. Overall height is approximately 10" Bell has moderate denting, the valve body has scaring, and the leaver arm is slightly bent with some slop in the pivot point. See photos for best description.

66 - Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad Water Canister

Missing lid, embossed RF&P RR on the side. 8 1/2" diameter by 10 1 /2" tall. Clean can with only one small shallow dent on the side. Very light flash rust on the underside of the can.

67 - Group of Four Unused Railroad First Aid Kits - Pennsylvania, Penn Central, and Rock Island

Includes Pennsylvania kit in steel canister, Pennsylvania FA-12706 kit by Mine Safety Appliance Co., Penn Central 12706 kit by Mine Safety Appliances Co. and sealed Rock Island small kit. Kits have minor wear on the packaging but all appear to be in new condition.

68 - New York Central Railroad Water Canister w/ Lid

Includes the original lid, embossed NYCS on the side. 7 1/4" diameter by 10 1/2" tall. Very light spots of flash rust on the side of the can, but no denting or major issues.

69 - 10" Painted Railroad Derail Sign

Blue with white lettering. Three mounting holes drilled on the bottom. Some scratching and light rust at the edges and in the field. See photos for best description.

70 - Group of 8 Crouse Hinds, Killark, and Type F Glass Globes for Explosion Proof Type Lights

Group includes four Crouse Hinds (two clear, one white, one blue), two type F (one red, one blue with a crack) clear Killark, and unmarked Amber with cracks. All measure 7 1/2" tall with a 3 1/4" diameter. See photos for best description.

71 - Group of Five Railroad Signal Locks - RACO, Western, ASC, Safetran

Group includes hex Western with machined clasp and body, two ASC brass, Safetran steel, and RACO steel. See photos for best description.

72 - Railroad Mail Bag Sight / Shield for RPO Cars

Measures 11 1/2" by 6 1/2". Includes a cast iron attachment plate in the inside with the words PAT'D June 18' 95. See photos for best description.

73 - Pennsylvania / Penn Central Chrome Railroad Spike With Inset Herald and Stamping

Spike has been chrome plated with a machined out section on the head to inset the Pennsylvania Keystone herald. One side of the spike has been stamped with PRR 1969 PC, the other side stamped with the name P.J. LA CLAIR. This would seem to be a retirement gift, but that is an educated guess.

74 - Armspear Restored Railroad Switch Lamp

Lamp has been repainted and hardware replaced. No burner. Includes Armspear tag on the chimney as well as the burner pot. Some paint loss, otherwise good condition.

75 - Group of Six Sets of Railroad Playing Cards - Pennsylvania, Santa Fe, Great Northern, Nickel Plate

Six decks of cars include Pennsylvania single deck with sealed pack, Santa Fe Congress double deck with F unit red and blue decks (both sealed), Great Northern double deck with Buckskin Pinto Woman and Chief Middle Rider, Santa Fe clear plastic case double deck with Chico and freight and passenger decks (both sealed), Pennsylvania deck without box, and Nickel Plate deck with the top of the box and red deck only. Group is new to like new condition.

76 - Detroit Bridge & Iron Works 1897 Builders Plate

Plate measures 15 1/2" by 7 1/2" Reads, " Built in 1887 by Detroit Bridge & Iron Works Detroit Michigan". Some rust on the back of the plate and paint loss on the front. No chips, cracks, or breaks.

77 - Group of Brass Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Door Hardware

Includes a set with both South Shore orange and maroon paint remnants, pair with light green paint remnants, and long handled brass handle with latching body mechanism. See photos for best description.

78 - Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Gate Sign - Train No. 1 Goshen N.Y. to Corning N.Y. and Train No. 7 Middletown to Wellsville

Double sided sign painted gate sign measuring 28" x 10 1/2". One side features train No.1 which lists Goshen NY to Corning NY. The second side features No.7 Middletown NY to Wellsville NY. Sign has some minor paint loss at the edges, but the names are clear and clean.

79 - Baltimore and Ohio F-S Hardware Brass Heart Shaped Lock with Adlake Key

Lock body is stamped with B.&O. R.R. to the left of the key cover and F-S HDW CO. on the right side of the lock body. The clasp is stamped with a Z. Also included is an Adlake key with B&O on the front 8630 and Adlake makers mark on the reverse. The key does operate the lock.

80 - Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Gate Sign - Belmont to Ravenna / Addison to Niles

Double sided sign painted gate sign measuring 28" x 10 1/2". One side lists Belmont NY to Ravenna OH The second side features Addison NY to Niles OH. Sign has some minor paint loss at the edges, but the names are clear and clean.

81 - Moon New York Central System Steel Lock w/ Indiana Harbor Belt Adlake Key

Lock body stamped N.Y.C.S. and MOON in serif font and N.Y. C.S. also stamped into the shackle in block lettering. Also included is an Adlake Indiana Harbor Belt key stamped with IHBRR on the front and Adlake makers mark on the reverse. The key does operate the lock.

82 - Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Gate Sign - Train No. 1 Warren OH to Chicago IL and Train No. 7 Kent OH to Chicago IL

Double sided sign painted gate sign measuring 28" x 10 1/2". One side features train No.7 which lists Kent OH to Chicago IL. The second side features No.1 Warren OH to Chicago IL. Sign has some minor paint loss at the edges, but the names are clear and clean.

83 - Moon Large Body Steel New York Central Lock w/ Key

Lock body is stamped with N.Y.C.R.R. The key cover has the Moon oval logo stamped with PATENTED NOV. 21. 1905. The lock retains original links of chain and does have an unmarked brass key. The key is heavily worn and has a hole worn in the barrel from being used so many times. The key does operate the lock.

84 - Electrified / Restored Handlan Train Order Lamp

Lamp body has been restored with new hardware. The body has older provisions for electrification with a ceramic grommet added through the side of the body. Both lenses are clear and measure 6 1/2" in diameter.

85 - Adlake / Adams and Westlake Kero 200 Nickel Plate Lantern w/ Etched CNX Globe

The lantern has a last patent date of August 1918. The shoulder of the lantern is embossed with Nickel Plate Road. The burner pot is included and the short CNX marked globe is etched with Nickel Plate Road and was etched upside down. See photos for best description. Globe has no cracks or chips. The lantern body has an old coat of red paint.

93 - Custom Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Nippon Sharyo Car Warranty Meter Display

Unique custom wooden built warranty meter from the NICTD / Nippon Sharyo cars which was employed from 1982 - 1986. The meter is actually a Engler Revo-Counter which was attached to the car wheels to measure their in service mileage. This meter measures 46,775. This meter was attched to a custom turned wooden wheel which is attached to the base. The base reads, " Warranty Meter NICTD New Car 1982-1986. The wheel rotates to show how the meter would function. Display measures approximately 13" tall by 11" wide.

94 - EMD / Electro-Motive Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad GP-9 Hot Dog Style Builders Plate

Locomotive started life as Chesapeake and Ohio GP-9 5917. Plate has a build date of DEC. 1954 Serial number is 20199. Plate is in good condition with some minor distortion around the screw holes.

95 - Group of Nine Unidentified SW / MP Style Switcher Locomotive Number Boards

The group are all fiberglass with black background and white lettering. All nine measure 12" x 6 3/4". Includes 1541 pair, 1542 single, 1543 single, 1534 pair, 1536 single, 1537 single, and 1538 single. All assumed to be SW style or MP style switchers. See photos for best description.

96 - Whitcomb Locomotive Builder Plate Serial No. 40176

Plate measures 7 7/8" x 4 3/4". Class stamped into the plate as 14DM32, serial number 40176. Generally this would be a diesel mechanical unit built before 1956. Plate has some minor flash rust staining at the upper left of the plate.

97 - Group of 1933-1934 Chicago Century of Progress Railroad Paper- Illinois Central, Burlington General Motors, The Royal Scott.

Group includes Illinois Central brochure w/ center crease and very faint staining on the lower right corner, two Burlington in like new condition (light corner wear on one), General Motors Hall of Progress, like new, and The Royal Scott / London Midland & Scottish Railway with some light staining on the upper right corner.

Herald measures 13 1/4" in diameter and 2 1/2 in depth. Herald has been restored and weighs 35 pounds. Very nice condition.

103 - Denver Rio Grande & Western Railroad 36400-36499 Air Brake Diagram Cast Iron Plate.

Plate measures 11 1/2" x 5 1/4" and ins unpainted with light rust. Plate has D&RGW 36400-36499 cast into the edge of the plate.

Sign measures 9" x 12" and has two BB holes in the field and a 3" porcelain chip on the left side. Overall the remainder of the field is in good condition with nice gloss. See photos for best description.

Number board has been placed in a custom wooden frame measuring 15" x 10". Locomotive history included which states a 1950 build date with an original owner of the Louisiana & Northwest. Plate has some light dirt but is in good condition.

Box is embossed SP. CO. on one side and retains its' original orange and silver paint. Box footprint measures 18" x 15 1/2". Some paint loss and small areas of rust.

108 - Handland Reading Railroad Switch Lamp w/ Day Targets

Lamp equipped with red and green day targets and lenses. Equipped with burner pot and the lantern appears to be unfired with A.A.R. stickers remaining on both lenses. The lamp is marked for the Reading in three locations. Stamped into the chimney with RDG CO, and two READING CO tags, one on the chimney and one on the door. Clean lantern.

The lantern body and day targets have been restored to like new condition. Burner elements have been removed and interior lighting has been added. One unique feature is that you can hang the lamp from the provided chain and there is provisions to install a light under the body which would allow the lamp to function as a normal hanging light. Light measures 13 1/2" in diameter and is complete. Some condition issues include a broken door hinge and approximately 1/3rd of the plug missing. This style of headlight was designed for electric traction railway service.

Includes repro key which does operate the lock. Lock has a partial cut mark in the shackle with some marks where someone started to try and saw the lock. The body has some nicks and wear to the lettering, but all is legible.

126 - Railway Express Porcelain Sign Pair

Pair of Railway Express Agency porcelain signs. Each sign measures 20" x 5 7/8" One sign reads Railway and the other Express both with two bolt holes. The signs are in wonderful condition with only minor edge chipping noted and little rust around the bolt holes. Both fields are glossy and clean. A great pair of signs.

127 - Yale Wabash Railroad Brass Signal Dept. Lock w/ Key

The front of the lock body has the Wabash flag herald cast into the body w/ Signal Dept. stamped around the flag. The reverse has the Yale logo cast into the body. Includes Ilco key which does operate the lock. Top of the body stamped with "Super Pin Tumbler. Lubricate With Graphite." Lock is in good condition with minor nicks and wear from age.

128 - White Co. Table Mount Swivel Arm w/ Western Union Main Line Telegraph Sounder

Unit is in original condition and is unrestored. The tag on the sounding unit read W. U. Telephone Co. Main Line Sounder 15-B 30 OHM. The table mount was made by White Co. from Worcester, Mass. See photos for best description.

Pair of locks both cast with NYC oval on the front of the lock body and Yale on the reverse. No keys. Measures 2" tall.

137 - EMD GP10 Illinois Central / Illinois Central Gulf Locomotive Builders Plate SN# 22295

Locomotive started life as Illinois Central 9230 which became Illinois Central Gulf 8230 and finished life as MSRC 1081. Plate has a build date of JAN. 1957 . Serial number is 22295. Plate has some discoloration but is in good condition.

138 - Group of Three Railroad Locks - RACO New York Central and Eagle Reading Co

Includes two RACO signal locks stamped with NYCS on the side of the lock barrel and an Eagle brass lock which has been painted silver. The lock is stamped with R. CO. Signal Service with the Eagle manufacturing markings on the reverse. No keys.

Includes July 18-19, 1934 Royal Arcanum Grand Counsel of Illinois at the 1934 New World's Fair, December 15th 1933 Golden State Limited Holiday Menu, March 1, 1933 Cafe Parlor Car Morning Menu (Front folding seem is partially split), May of 1935 Desert Inn menu (light crease across the top edge), April 1, 1930 Shakespeare cover menu (light crease across the top edge), April 1, 1930 Robin Hood cover menu (light crease across the top edge), July 1, 1933 coach service at your seat unused card, and August 13, 1933 Century of Progress Tour Breakfast Menu. All have some light staining but no rips or tears unless noted. A really nice group of menus.

Stamped PRR on the front with Fraim makers mark, serial number 948, and "N" stamped on the reverse. Key does show pocket wear at the top of the hilt and to the barrel.

145 - Colorado and Southern Railway Adlake No. 48 Steel Lock

Shackle stamped with C&S RY. Adlake embossed on the key cover, the reverse stamped with No. 48 LOCK and the patent number. Key cover does not spring back and the lock mechanism is tight. Original chain attached.

Key is stamped ERIE on the front with no reverse markings. Key measures 1 3/4" tall.

149 - Pair of Adlake Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Steel Locks w/ Keys

Both locks are stamped CSS&SB on the reverse of the body with the same patent numbers. The shackle rivets are stamped 80 and 87. Shackles are stamped with K6 and K10. Includes two brass Adlake marked keys, both stamped with CSS and operate the locks. The lock body with the chain sections have been repainted in silver.

150 - Pennsylvania Railroad ILCO Signal Department Brass Lock

Lock is stamped with PRR SD on the front of the body, and 5A on the underside of the lock. An ILCO key is also included which does operated the lock. Nice strong lettering.

151 - Fraim Pennsylvania Railroad Fancy Cast Heart Shaped Brass Lock w/ Knobby Hilt Key

Fancy brass cast lock with PRR Co which appears as RPR Co. when looking at the lock. Shackle is stamped with the Fraim key stone and 1903. Also included is an original knobby hilt key with PRR stamped on the front in serif and 1699 and what appears to be the letter Q on the reverse with the Fraim makers mark. Key shows some pocket wear to the lettering.

153 - Pennsylvania Railroad - Penna Co. Brass Heart Shaped Lock w/ A&W Key

Lock body is cast w/ PENNA Co in the front panel, the body is otherwise unmarked. Includes an A&W key stamped PENNA CO on the front of the hilt and E4644 S with the A&W makers mark. The key does operate the lock.

154 - Eagle Delaware Lackawanna and Western Small Brass Signal Department Lock

Lock body is stamped with Signal D.L.&W. Department on the front of the body. The reverse is cast with the Eagle makers mark. The lock does have some mild wear to the front panel, specifically to the &W on the right side of the panel.

155 - Pair of Keline NICTD and Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad Locks

One lock is stamped NICTD on the front with Keline embossed on the key cover. The second lock is stamped CSS&SB on the front with Keline Elkhart Ind Hardened on the shackle. Neither lock has a key. CSS&SB lock has some original chain.

156 - Erie Railroad Double Hilt Brass Key w/ Serif Font

Key is stamped Erie RR in serif font on the double hilted key. Ringed taper at the top of the barrel below the hilt. Key measures 3 1/2" tall and has light pocket wear to the ERIE lettering and some dirt/oil residue on the reverse.

157 - Norfolk and Western Railway Heart Shaped Brass Lock w/ Key

Front of the body cast w/ N&W RY Co. Shackle is stamped Slaymaker with an S designation. The key is stamped with a crude NW and 55087 in serif on the reverse. The key does operate the lock. Some original chain attached.

158 - Union Pacific Railroad Signal Lock CS-61 w/ Serif Font and ILCO Key

Lock body is stamped in Serif font with CS-61 U.P.R.R. Signal Use No Oil. Again this lock uses serif font as opposed to the more common block font. Includes an ILCO key which does operate the lock. The underside of the lock has three patent dates with the last being 4-13-09.

159 - Slaymaker Pennsylvania Railroad Lock w/ Key

Key cover is stamped with the Slaymaker S diamond logo w/ Lanc PA. Shackle stamped PRR on the front and 1967 on the reverse. Key is stamped PRR on the hilt with W2892C on the reverse. The key does operate the lock.

160 - Southern Railway Brass "SO" Switch Key

Key is stamped with SO. RY on the front, the "S" is in Serif font. The reverse is stamped SR with the "R" in Serif font. Key has light pocket wear.

Pair of locks both stamped NICTD on the lock body with Keline embossed into the key cover. One shackle is marked with HARDENED. Both keys are Adlake marked with CSS stamped on the hilt. One lock appears to be brand new and unused, the other has typical wear from use. The keys operate the locks.

The dust cover is cast with Hall Signal Company. The rest of the body is unmarked with the exception of the front of the clasp which has worn patent numbers. No key.

174 - Slaymaker Erie Railroad Steel Lock w/ Serif Font

Shackle is stamped with Slaymaker 187. There are three other letters on the shackle which are partially worn. The body is stamped Erie R.R. in Serif font. No key. Lock is in good condition, slight bump on the back of the lock body just below where the bit exits the body.

Great pair of matched Baltimore and Montgomery Railroad baggage tags. Both are number 7560. Tags are stamped Baltimore and Montgomery via B&O, O&A & Tenn Route via Atlanta. One tag has this duplicated on both sides while the other has a check for baggage message. Both tags have fair to moderate oxidation, this could be cleaned to be more legible.

The valve body is marked Lunkenheimer on one side w/ 3 1/2" on the other side of the body. The lever is case with Pat. Mar. 26. 1918 on one side. The whistle is 14" tall with a 1 1/4" inlet size. Whistle is in good condition with only minor marks on the bell and light flash rust on the lever.

Really unique locomotive marker lantern floor lamp. This was custom built with a nicely finished wooden base with sixteen date nails surrounding the base. 200 - Santa Fe Railroad Steam Locomotive Presentation Bell w/ Plaque

Bell has a 4 1/2" plaque attached to the bell which reads, "Presented by A.T. & S.F. R.Y. CO. 1954" The bell is 16 3/4" in diameter and measures approximately 27" tall. The bell is stamped with 1388 which has been struck through and then stamped 1688. It is believed this bell was the last in the 1337 class of Baldwin 4-6-2 steam locomotives which were removed from service by 1954. Locomotive 1388 would have been the last locomotive from that class. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. Canadian National measures 4 1/2" x 9" and features a number of attractions in and around Ontario that could be reached via the Canadian National. Cover shows minor wear at the lower corner of the spine as well as a small missing piece at that corner. Last page is a fold out onion paper map of Ontario. The CB&Q / Burlington brochure measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" and folds out to a large Burlington route map. Some light staining and discoloration. Milwaukee Road Notes Along the Trail of the Hiawatha Olympian. No date but features Superdome Equipment, good condition with a standard fold in the cover.

213 - Aluminum ACI (Automatic Car Identification) Plate / Tag and 1967 Chesapeake and Ohio / Baltimore and Ohio 1967 Internal ACI Report

Aluminum ACI car tag measures 10 1/2" x 22" and while the tag does have some mild bends and broken out mounting holes, the tag does not appear to have spent many years outside. Also included is an internal report from the Chesapeake and Ohio / Baltimore and Ohio on ACI plates and their plan for implementation. The report was sent to the Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad in November 1967 and was requested to be kept internal as it discussed labor implications and other sensitive business details.

214 - Burlington Route Stainless Steel Passenger Car Step Box

Box is polished stainless steel and measures 17 1/2" x 12 1/2" x 10 1/4". The embossed tag which reads "Burlington Route" measures 6 1/4" x 1 1/4". Box has minor corner wear and cracking of the rubber feet, but is consistent with normal railroad use.

215 - Group of Eight Railroad 78 and 45 RPM Records - Nickel Plate 587 She's a Survivor, NKP 759 Berkshire on the Blue Ridge, Strasburg, and More

Group of steam locomotive records in original sleeves. The group is highlighted by an original 45 copy of the Lejo Harmeson song "The 587 She's a Survivor" which was produced in 1984 during the restoration of Nickel Plate 587. Also included is Berkshire on the Blue Ridge featuring Nickel Plate 759 with the original liner photo insert, Pacing the Union Pacific 8444 over Sherman Hill 45, Strasburg: The Road to Paradise 45, Sounds of 759 45, The Silverton Train 45, The Agawa Express (Alagoma Central), and Your Sound of Steam Souvenir 45. Group is all in very good to like new condition.

218 - Pyle National Locomotive Headlight - Purportedly From Pere Marquette Berkshire #1228

Pyle National tag on the top of the housing reads The Pyle National Co. Chicago. The record number stamped into the tag is 200145. The headlight housing has been repainted and also has a broken lens. We recovered the pieces of the lens inside of the housing and they are included. A type written note on the lens reads, "Pere Marquette R.R. headlight case removed from engine while stored at New Buffalo Mich. 3-58." The headlight is also missing it's upper lens shield / brow but does have the screw holes where it was once attached. This headlight does visually match the other Pyle National lights that the Pere Marquette used. We have also found a video of the number board from #1228 which has the same type of typewritten note attached to it. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. Lamp uses a clear lens which is a replacement with new hardware. The lamp measures 13 1/2" tall. The body on this lamp has been repainted and the burner pot is a Dressell. Lamp body has been repainted and has three green and one red lens installed. Burner pot is intact. The embossed tag on the door reads W.&L.E. RY. The burner pot itself is present, but no fount or wick raiser.

237 - Two Illinois Central, Baltimore and Ohio, and Three Corbin Railroad Keys

Group includes two Illinois Central keys, an unmarked stamped ICRR and an Adlake marked key w/ I.C.R.R. with serial number 33558 on the reverse. Also included is a unusual unmarked Baltimore and Ohio key with the "B" stamped in reverse. The lettering is very clean with no notable pocket wear. The final keys are all Corbin keys with two marked Village Key on the reverse. See photos for best description.

Lamp body has been repainted and fitted with new hardware. The chimney has two tags including the Armspear Man'F'G' Co. New York Tag and the patent tag with a last patent date of what appears to be July of 1915. The Burner pot is intact and complete.

The canister has some areas of paint loss, but the glass is clean and intact with great color. We highly recommend pick up of this fragile item at our Lafayette Indiana location or having the drum head crated for shipping.

Cast bronze plate measures 16 1/2" x 10 7/8". The red on the plate has been repainted, but the reverse appears to be original with the right amount of patina for the age including light flash rust, scale, etc. The plate has minor nicks and dents, but overall presents very nicely.

256 - Illuminated Railroad Speed Restriction Sign

Galvanized / painted steel box with milk glass insert. At one time read "15 Miles" but the five is no longer present, just the outline. The original side door from the box is missing and has been replaced with a wooden panel. The interior of the box has what appears to be two raised areas where burner pots sat at one time. The box was later electrified and still retains a bulb holder and cord. Measures 18 1/2" x 12 1/4"

266 - TEXACO 1941 Hudson Type Steam Locomotive Lubrication Chart

Incredible Texaco railroad lubrication chart measuring approximately 57" x 34 1/2". This poster features a line diagram of the famous Hudson type steam locomotive and over 1,050 numbered and labeled points. These points identify just about every notable part on the Hudson locomotive. The poster is also color coded to show the eight types of Texaco Oil that could be used on the locomotive and which applications were appropriate for which parts. The poster is dated 3-41 at the bottom. At some point this poster was mounted to a heavier cardboard / poster board backing to help stabilize it. There is some darkening to the right quarter of the poster along with some creasing and edge wear. Overall though this is a great poster for Railroadiana or Petroliana collectors.

Lantern is embossed with the Dietz No. 6 on the top with New York Central embossed on the shoulder. The base has been slightly bent and does not sit flat. The red cast extended base CNX globe measures 5 7/8" tall and is cast with New York Central spelled out in Serif font. The globe has a few minor bubbles and very minor chipping on both rims. The body has been cleaned.

Plate measures 8 7/8" in diameter and is marked with the Lamberton Patent Applied For early mark on the reverse side of the plate. The front of the plate is near mint with no notable wear. The reverse shows minor wear around the ring from stacking.

282 - Armspear Pennsylvania No. 39 Single Guard Lantern w/ Blue Etched Globe

Top embossed with Armspear Man'f'g' Co.. The shoulder is embossed with PRR. The bell bottom burner pot is intact. The blue cast extended base CNX globe is etched with P.R.R. and is 5 3/8" tall. One very tiny chip on the outside of the upper rim, otherwise a very clean globe.

283 - Baltimore and Ohio Centenary / Colonial Lamberton Thomas Viaduct Platter

Platter measures 5 3/4" x 8 1/4". Marked with the early Lamberton Patent Applied For mark. Plate is in very good condition with only a minor circular defect in the dish of the platter. This can only be seen under certain light. Reverse of the platter has very light stacking wear.

284 - Adams and Westlake Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway "The Adams" No. 11 Lantern w/ Clear Cast Globe

The top of the lantern is stamped with "The Adams" encircled by The Adams and Westlake Company -Chicago. The shoulder is embossed with W&L.E. RY There is light stamping just to the right of the embossing which reads "For" and then what appears to be a number of which the 4 is still ledgible. The steel top does have some light flash rust and pitting. The last patent date on the edge of the shoulder appears to be Aug 16 of 98. The globe is clear and cast with W&LE Ry and has a notable chip in the lower rim and five notable chips or defects in the body of the globe. The globe does not have any cracks.

285 - Cincinnati Southern Railroad 1884 Rockford Silver Plate Co. 7 Piece Tea Service

This seven piece tea service has an interesting story to tell which begins with the inscription on the tray which reads, "Presented to Samuel G Parker by this friends on the C.S.S.R.A slight token on esteem, April 1884" The tray measures 31 1/2" x 15 1/4". The consignor has done a great deal of research on Samuel Parker and has learned that Parker at one time was likely an organizing member of local unions for the CSRR and may have been black balled for his activity. Later news paper articles state that Family lore says he was a railroad worker who was blackballed for his union activities. Later public documents show that in 1900 Parker was a railroad clerk and his 1913 death certificate says he was a freighter handler. His death by a flood in 1913 prompted two newspaper articles which reveal that at the time of his death Parker was a “Big Four Railroad” worker and that he was a former Yard Master for the Cincinnati Southern Railroad. Whatever the occasion of the presentation of the service to Parker, the event must have been significant to warrant such a gift from co-workers.The condition of the set itself is very nice. All pieces have "Quadruple The Rockford Silver Plate Co." stampings on the underside. The serving pieces all have been stamped with 970 while the tray is stamped 2690. There is one notable dent in the lid of the taller coffee pot. This is the only truly visible condition issue. The tray has some light scratches on the underside from age. All the pieces appear to have a later serial number etched into them on the underside. Possibly for inventory or tracking.This is a wonderful set which captures a personal history in the early years of the Cincinnati Southern. A great set for our railroad china collectors who are looking for a truly one of a kind piece.

301 - Fifteen Pennsylvania Railroad Drinking Glasses - Broadway Limited, Pennsylvania Station, John Bull, Madison Square Garden

All fifteen glasses are 5 1/2" tall. Includes three Broadway Limited, four Pennsylvania Station, four Madison Square Garden (all of these glasses pre-date the completion of MSG as they state "when completed in 1967), and four John Bull. Glasses are all in good condition and appear to be unused or very lightly used.

302 - Dietz Vulcan No. 39 Baltimore and Ohio Lantern w/ Clear Cast Globe

Top of the lantern is embossed with Dietz Vulcan 39. The shoulder is embossed with B&O. R.R. and stamped 63254. The globe is a Macbeth Co. and is embossed as such near the top. The extended base globe is 5 3/8" tall and is embossed with B&O RR. One minor bubble noted in the globe, otherwise very clean. Equipped with a twist off burner pot and inside wick raiser. Twist off pot also has a tag which is stamped 63254. The body is clean and was clear coated on the bottom half.

303 - Group of forty Lake Shore Pioneer Chapter of New York Central Veterans plates - 1927 through 1983

Group of forty plates. Early plates include 1927, 1929, 1933, 1935, 1939, 1940, 1948, and 1949. Also includes six plates from the 50's, eleven 60's, eleven 70's, and three 80's. Group is generally in good to like new condition. A few minor chips noted in the group, but no major chips, cracks, or breaks. Group sold as is shown in the photos with no returns.

304 - Adams and Westlake No.11 Belt Railway of Chicago Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Cast Name Globe

Lantern embossed with The Adams and Westlake Company on the top. Shoulder is embossed with Belt. Ry along with the patent dates. The last date is Jan. 26 1909. The clear cast CNX globe measures 5 3/8" tall and has what I'll call some swirling that I believe to be from the factory when the globe was cast. The globe was cast with The Belt Railway of Chicago in panel. Overall the globe has a few minor chips around the upper and lower rims, but is overall clean. Body is clean with no rust through or other detrimental condition issues.

305 - Baltimore and Ohio Centenary / Colonial Set of Six Shenango Coffee Cups and Saucers

Twelve pieces total, all marked with Shenango China. All are clean on the top side, a few pieces have minor staining on the underside. No notable chips, cracks, or breaks.

306 - Adams and Westlake No.11 Double Guard Santa Fe Railroad Lantern w/ Red Cast Name Globe

Lantern embossed with The Adams and Westlake Company on the top. Shoulder is embossed with SANTA FE A along with the patent date. The only date is May 28, 1895. The red cast CXN globe measures 5 3/8" tall and has A.T. & S.F. RY. cast in panel. Overall the globe has one minor chip on both the upper and lower rims and a few very light scuffs on the globe body. The lantern body is clean with no detrimental condition issues. The bale has been wrapped with cloth cord at some point in its' life to make carrying more comfortable.

307 - Michigan Central Railroad Front Mounted Steam Locomotive Bell #2426?

Bell measures 14 1/4" in diameter and is cast with MCRR and what appears to be 2426 on the top of the bell. The bell was later stamped with numbers that appear to be 892 and possibly a 7 and 3. Some of the numbers were over stamped. This is a front mounted bell and has a specially constructed stand to let the bell stand and swing freely. See photos for best description. 308 - Adams and Westlake "Giant" Double Guard Central Railroad of New Jersey Lantern w/ Clear Globe

The lantern is completely unmarked on the two piece top. The shoulder is embossed with CRR of NJ. This version of the Giant is equipped with the bale mounted to the ears and a slide globe retainer. The clear extended base globe measures 6 1/8" tall and has three moderate chips around the bottom rim of the globe, see photos for best description. The body itself has light pitting, and shows signs of an older cleaning.

309 - Golden Glow New Haven MU Commuter Car Headlight #4240 Type FC 128S

Headlight tag reads " "Golden Glow" Locomotive Headlight Electric Services Supply Co. Type FC 128S, with patent dates. The last patent date is July 26, 1921. The light itself measures approximately 18" x 16" x 18". Internal wiring appears to be original, no bulbs. Reflector lens has some spotting. Clear lens is intact. Front hold down screw is missing the winged hold down nut. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. This lot may be picked up in Lafayette Indiana or will require 3rd party shipping arrangements to be made.

310 - Adams & Westlake Bell Bottom Pullman Conductor's Lantern

Lantern is a bell bottom, single guard, with Pullman. embossed into the bell. The top of the lantern has one small 1/4" dent. The bell shows some minor wear to the nickel plating under the bale and just above the Pullman lettering. The extended base globe is etched P.P. G. Co. in Old English and measures 4 3/4" tall. One minor chip in the lower rim of the globe.

311 - Knight & Thomas Inc. Railway & Marine Fire Extinguisher

Extinguisher measures 24" tall and 7 1/4" in diameter. Last patent date on the manufactures tag is May 16, 1905. Very nicely polished copper and brass, only a few tiny dents noted throughout the body. See photos for best description.

312 - Adams & Westlake "Reliable" Fort Worth & Denver City Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Etched Name Globe

Top of the lantern is embossed with The Adams & Westlake Co. "Adlake" Reliable with FT W & D. C. R.R along with the patent dates on the shoulder. The last patent date is Apr 1. 1913. The embossed "T" is inverted on the shoulder. The CNX globe measures 5 3/8" tall and is etched with Ft. W & D.C.R. The etchings are light and some of them have partly worn away with time. There are a few minor nicks in the edge of the rim but no notable chips, cracks, or breaks. Lantern body is clean with some minor signs of cleaning.

313 - Corbin Cincinnati Union Terminal Padlock

Front of the lock is stamped C.U.T. Co. The reverse is stamped AHS-1 and has the manufacturing information cast into the body. Last patent date of Apr. 12, 09. Shackle has some minor pitting and lock body has a few scratches, but all markings very legible.

314 - Adams & Westlake Missouri Pacific Railroad Lantern Bell Bottom / Brass Top w/ Clear Cast Panel Globe

This lantern has a two piece top. The top is loose from the shoulder and is missing the inner lamp retainer spring. The bell is embossed with M.P.R.R. and is stamped with 18796 to the left of the embossing. The clear CNX globe measures 5 1/4" tall and is cast with M.P. in a rectangular panel. The globe has areas of small chipping around both rims and other light wear. The body has light areas of flash rust, but no major condition issues other than the loose top.

315 - Virginian Railway Fancy Heart Shaped Brass Lock w/ Key

Lock cast with VGN R'Y Co. in the front panel. The shackle is stamped 1939. No markings on the reverse. The key is stamped VGN in serif font with 41 stamped on the reverse. The key does operate the lock. Some original chain still attached.

316 - Dietz No. 39 Delaware and Hudson Bell Bottom Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Cast Logo Globe

Top of the lantern is embossed with No. 39. Railroad. The shoulder is embossed with The D.& H. Co. The CNX clear cast globe measures 5 1/2" tall and has "The D&H" in cursive script cast into the globe. Rims have minor chipping, but no major chips, cracks, or breaks. The lantern body has been clear coated and is in good condtion.

317 - Erie Railroad Master Junior Lock w/ Key

Brass bodied Corbin Master Jr. lock with Erie in the diamond logo cast into the front panel. Shackle stamped as hardened. Key is stamped Master Jr. with the Corbin logo and does operate the lock. Lock has some minor marks, but is very presentable.

318 - Armspear Northern Pacific Railroad No.3 Lantern w/ Clear "Safety Always" Cast Globe

Top embossed with Armspear Man'f'g' Co. and the patent dates. One 1/2" long dent in the top. The shoulder is embossed with N.P.R.Y. and stamped with 3650. Globe is cast with NPRR in a panel and "Safety Always" on the opposite side. The clear CNX globe measures 5 3/8" tall. Both rims are very clean with only a few notable tiny chips. The body appears unrestored. Last patent date on the lantern is May 28. 95.

319 - Adlake Brass Union Stock Yards of Omaha Lock

Lock is stamped USY OF O with the patent number below. The key cover is embossed Adlake. The lock has been partially cleaned. No key. See photos for best description.

320 - Adams & Westlake "Reliable" American Railway Express Company Lantern w/ Red Macbeth Globe

Top of the lantern is embossed with The Adams & Westlake Co. "Adlake" Reliable with AM. RY. EXP. Co. along with the patent dates on the shoulder. The last patent date is Apr 1. 1913. The red extended base Monarch 220 Pearl glass globe measures 5 3/8" tall. There are a few minor nicks and scuffs but no notable chips, cracks, or breaks. Lantern body is clean with very minor pitting on the top which does have a slight lean but no major bends or creases noted.

321 - Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Dayton Manufacturing Co. Brass Lock w/ Key

Front panel is unmarked with the reverse is stamped B&O R.R. and Dayton MFG CO to the left and right of the key cover. Key is stamped B&O RR on the front and Adlake on the reverse. The key does operate the lock. Some marks and minor pitting on the lock body and shackle.

322 - Adams & Westlake Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Bell Bottom Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Cast Panel Name Globe

Lantern is embossed with L.S & M. S. Ry. in the shoulder. and is stamped with 9061 on the side of the body. The bell has some minor pitting, but has been cleaned. The clear extended base globe is cast with LS&MSRy in a rectangular panel and measures 5 3/8" tall. Very minor chips in both rims of the globe.

323 - Kansas City Terminal Railway Signal Department Brass Corbin Lock

Front of the lock is stamped K.C.T. Ry Signal Dept with a small "A" stamped to the right of Dept. The reverse has the manufacturing information cast into the body. Last patent date of Apr. 12, 09. Shackle is stamped 316A. The body has some cut marks on one corner, otherwise clean.

324 - Lake Erie and Western Railroad Adams & Westlake No. 11 Lantern w/ Clear Cast Name Globe

Lantern embossed with The Adams and Westlake Company on the top. Shoulder is embossed with L.E&W.R.R. along with the patent date. The only date is May 28, 1895. The clear extended base cast globe measures 5 3/8" tall and has N.Y.L.E & W.R.R. cast in panel. Globe has very clean rims. The lantern body is clean with no detrimental condition issues.

The top of this double guard / bell bottom lantern is embossed with Star Headlight Co. The shoulder is embossed with B. & A. R.R. on one side and Safety First on the other. The CNX cast extended base clear globe measures 5 7/8" tall. B. & A. R.R. is cast in panel. Very clean rims and over all a like new globe. The bell bottom and top both have some small area of raised dents and the body has been clear coated.

The globe measures 5 3/8" tall and is etched with INY.Ry.Co. There are a few minor nicks in the rims and one tiny chip near the upper rim. Body is clean with no detrimental condition issues.

Front of the lock is stamped with The D&H logo / script. The reverse is stamped M of W K-7 and has the manufacturing information cast into the body. Last patent date of Apr. 12, 09. Lock and chain have some green paint residue, but is otherwise in good condition.

332 - Steam Gauge and Lantern Co. Bell Bottom No.39 New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Cast Name in Panel Globe

Lantern is embossed with Steam Gauge & Lantern Co. with N.Y.N.H. & H.R.R. embossed on the shoulder. Twist off burner pot. The body has been repainted but is clean with no rust through. The clear extended base globe measures 6" tall and is cast with NY.NH&HRR in panel. The globe is overall clean. A few very tiny chips around the lower rim.

333 - Missouri Pacific Railroad Brass Lock

Missouri Pacific cast into the front of the body with vertical single bit key hole. Shackle has three stampings which are hard to read, but appear to be 33, 12, and 20 in serif font. Body overall has no major issues aside from a few minor nicks.

334 - Adlake Reliable Erie Railroad w/ Red Cast Name in Panel Globe

Single piece top is stamped with The Adams and Westlake Company / "Adlake" Reliable. The shoulder is embossed with ERIE. R.R. along with the patent dates. The last patent date is Apr. 1, 1913. The red cast extended base globe measures 5 1/2" tall. The lettering ERR Co is cast into the globe in panel. One very minor but notable chip in the lower rim and a small chip in the upper rim. The lantern body is clean and appears to be in original condition, possibly an older cleaning, but no major signs of restoration.

Lock is stamped with L.S. & I. No other markings. The lock is missing the key cover and has mild rust and pitting.

Shackle of the lock is stamped C de P in serif font. The reverse side is stamped with Wilson Bohannan Co. The key cover is stamped with the key removal instructions. No other markings. Key is unmarked but does operate the lock. See photos for best description.

Lantern is embossed A.C.L.R.R. on the shoulder. One ear is missing from the body which has left the bale partially loose. The short red globe has A.C.L etched into it. The globe has no cracks or breaks, but is cloudy. The body has been clear coated.

The lantern is embossed with NYNH&H on the shoulder of the body and also is embossed on a tag which is attached to one blinder. The globe is a mismatched red globe etched with NYCS and measures 4 1/2" tall. The lantern body has been repainted and shows only light wear.

341 - Erie Railroad Police Sergeant Badge - New Jersey

At one time the badge was gold finish with navy blue filled lettering. The gold finish has faded on the front of the badge, but is still present on the reverse. Badge number is 27 and also has N.J. cast into the bottom of the shield.

342 - Adams & Westlake "Reliable" Pennsylvania Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Etched Keystone Globe

Black enameled lettering background. The badge is shield style with the perched Eagle on the top of the shield. Badge is in good condition with a few very faint areas of oxidation around the Eagle and center of the badge.

Complete with burner pot. Targets have minor chipping at the edges. Lunar white and amber lenses installed. Body is in good condition with minor paint chipping.

351 - Erie Railroad Sergeant Police Breast Badge

Black enameled lettering background. The lettering is Serif font and the badge is shield style with the perched Eagle on the top of the shield. Open holes below the Eagle wings. Badge at one time was gold finish on the front, but that has worn to copper. The gold finish is still present on the front. The badge was made by American Railway Supply Company with their makers mark on the reverse.

352 - Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railroad Wooden Train Bulletin Board

Board measures 26 5/8" x 35 1/2" by 3 1/8" thick. Board has typical wear for the age including paint loss and nail holes. See photos for best description.

353 - Erie Railroad Fire Department Breast Badge

Erie Railroad lettering has black enameled background. Shield style badge has Fire Department stamped into the badge and the number 35 applied to the badge. The badge is in good condition.

354 - Coffin Feed Water Heater Pump Steam Pressure and Pump Delivery Pressure Gauge for Railroad Locomotives

Brass case gauge measures 6 1/4" in diameter and features two gauges for the pump steam pressure and the pump delivery pressure. Gauge reads up to 400 PSI. The Coffin Feedwater logo is centered on the lower portion of the gauge dial. Gauge is in good condition with no notable issues.

355 - Erie Railroad Playing Cards- Factory New Deck

Deck has a diamond logo on the lid of the case along with Erie Railroad. The deck has the Erie diamond herald along with an E unit. The cellophane is intact and has some minor tears. See photos for best description.

Sign measures 22" x 20 1/4" The sign appears to have been restored and has bright glossy paint with no notable cosmetic issues. Casting number on the reverse is T28451.

358 - Resume Speed Porcelain Railroad Sign

Sign measures 24" in diameter with minor chipping at the edges and a few small chips in the field of the sign. The largest measures just below 3/4" of an inch in diameter. The sign retains some of it's original gloss and overall has a really nice look. The reverse of the sign also has some minor chipping, but no major rust spots or damage.

359 - Scarce Erie Railroad Co. Telegraph Operator Hat Badge

Rectangular badge with raised lettering and pebble style background. The nickel badge includes the attachment brads. Badge has some very faint areas of dirt, but could clean to a beautiful finish. Brads have very light wear.

360 - Peter Gray No. 1 New York, New Haven, & Hartford Railroad Semaphore Lamp

Side of the lantern has a brass Peter Gray & Sons tag soldered to the body. The lamp has a 4 5/8" green lens installed. The lamp also retains its burner pot. The initials NYNH&HRR are embossed into the top of the lamp. The lamp does have some rust issues with the back bracket missing and dime size rust hole in the side door. Lantern sold as is shown in the photos.

361 - Lehigh Valley Railroad Bethlehem, PA Ticket Dater Die

Die stamps, "L.V.R.R. R. DO. E. (Possibly a 3) Bethlehem, PA." Die shows some wear to the lettering, but is legible.

362 - Dressel Pennsylvania Railroad Semaphore Lamp

This Dressel lamp is embossed with P.R.R.CO. on the rear of the lamp. In the interior is the Dressel Manufacturing tag with patent dates. The last date is Nov. 24 '03. The burner pot is present and complete. The body has been restored and is missing the rear sight glass. The side mounting pocket of the lantern is embossed with 147.

Die stamps, " Erie R.R. CO. Union City, PA." Die has a fair amount of ink build up but is in good condition.

364 - Framed Unused New York Central 1952 Calendar

Unused 1952 New York Central calendar featuring New York Central streamlined passenger train and Bannerman's Island in the Hudson River. Calendar is mint with all pages and no staining, rips, tears, etc. An outstanding example of this calendar. Frame measures 19" x 28".

Ticket dater die from the Chambers Street ferry slip in Manhattan. Die stamps, " Erie R.R. CO. CHAMBERS ST. NEW 5 YORK". Lettering shows light wear from age but is in good legible condition.

376 - Indianapolis Union Railway Co. - Dr. Walter E. Hemphill Underpass 1946 Builders Plaque

Plaque measures 24" x 24" and was cast in 1946 to list the officers of the city of Indianapolis, Marion County Indiana, and the Indianapolis Union Railway (Then at the time jointly owned by the New York Central and Pennsylvania Railroad) The plaque has been repainted, but has no detrimental condition issues. 377 - C.F. Massey Railroad Signal Battery Well Brass Manufacturing Tag

Tag measures 4" x 1 3/4" and read Manufactured by C.F Massey Company Chicago along with the patent dates. The last date of Mar. 8, 1910 is tied to Masseys' patent for a battery well. Tag is good condition for the age with one slight bend at the lower right corner.

378 - New York Central Railroad Passenger Car Step Box

Box footprint measures 17" x 20" and embossed with NYC SYSTEM on two sides. All four of the cast iron hand holds have serial number A6532 NYC. Box has been repainted but retains original worn and partially missing rubber feet.

379 - Yale Baltimore and Ohio Signal Department Brass Railroad Lock

Cast with B&O and stamped with SIGNAL DEPT on the front of the lock body, reverse has the Yale logo cast in and Newark Division stamped around Yale. Includes replacement ILCO key.

380 - Pyle National #2 Headlight

This Pyle National headlight has a 13" diameter lens and measures 19" x 16" x 16" Both No. 2 glass number boards are intact and the paint appears to be original and unrestored. Some paint loss, but all glass is intact and in good condition. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. This lot may be picked up in Lafayette Indiana or will require 3rd party shipping arrangements to be made.

381 - Yale Nickel Plate Railroad Signal Department Brass Railroad Lock.

Cast with Nickle R.R. Plate and stamped with SIGNAL DEPT on the front of the lock body, reverse has the Yale logo cast in. Includes Curtis key which does operate the lock.

382 - Canadian Pacific Star Brass Mfg. Co. Three Chime Steam locomotive Whistle from Montreal Angus Shops

A great Canadian Pacific three chime Star steam locomotive whistle. Overall the whistle measures aproximately 22" tall with an approximate diameter of 6 3/4". The inlet diameter is 1 3/4". The bowl is cast with 78L81 on one side with CPR cast on the other side. The value was cast with serial number 78L86. The bell of the whistle has mild wear at all three opening edges and has been hand painted with the Canadian Pacific Beaver shield along with what appears to read, "P&F Angus Shops Feb. 1956" Attached to the whistle lever is a partial Canadian Pacific hang tag which shows the whistle was shipped to Dwight W Horn? in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The bell has a few shallow dents but is overall nice.

383 - Louisville and Nashville M1 "Big Emma" 1992 Reproduction Locomotive Number Plate

Aluminum reproduction number plate created by the Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation. These reproduction plates celebrated the Louisville and Nashville M1 "Big Emma" locomotives. Plate measures 18 1/8" x 6 3/8".Proceeds from the sale of this item benefit The National Railway Historical Society, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

384 - Crouse-Hinds Imperial Luminous Arc Railroad Headlight

Light measures 13 1/2" in diameter and is complete. This style of headlight was designed for electric traction railway service. A nice complete example with a complete plug. Only notable condition issue is some denting in the top of the canister body.

Passenger car ceiling lamp of brass construction. No makers mark, but a patent date of Nov 3, 1885. There is also an Railway Express Agency tag attached to the lamp that appears to be from 1942 which reads "Lamp No. 4 Car 17" Lamp is the fixture only. No glass or shades. Measures 19 1/4" tall by approximately 20 1/4" wide. See photos for best description.

388 - 10" Diameter Brass Steam Locomotive Bell

Bell measures 10" in diameter with an acorn top nut. The yolk has been repainted and appears to have MD 227 cast in near the bottom. The bottom plate is curved to fit a boiler. Bell measures approximately 19" tall. There are no stampings or markings on the bell itself. See photos for best description.

392 - Restored Dietz No. 2 Sheet Iron Pioneer Railroad Station Lamp w/ Reflector

Body of this lamp has been nicely restored with an original marked Dietz No. 2 clear globe. The globe has minor bubbles from its manufacturing and has minor chipping around the rim. The burner pot is complete with cap and has no rust through or notable pitting. The rear reflector is in good condition with minor spotting.

393 - Eight Adlake, JLH, and Custom Railroad Coach / Caboose Keys

Group of passenger coach and caboose keys includes three Adlake keys, uncut blank, JLH Co. key, custom made Adlake long key (almost 8" long), large "T" handle key believed to be Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad, and an Adlake two hole coach key with a tag indicating it worked on the old South Shore coaches. 394 - Dietz No. 2 Sheet Iron Imperial Railroad Station Lamp w/ Reflector

Lamp body appears to be original unrestored paint. The burner pot and fount do appear to have been restored and the rear reflector is aluminum. The glass is also likely replacement, but overall this lamp has a nice patina. The bale has some minor bends and pitting. See photos for best description.

396 - Gray Boston Sheet Iron Bridge Lamp w/ Red Fresnel Lens

Large sheet iron lantern embossed with "Gray Boston" on the top. Approximately 17 1/2" high by 10 1/4" high. No burner pot. The lens is a red fresnel style lens and is clean. Body has some paint loss and minor denting, but no rust through or other major condition issues.

Narrow gauge railroadiana including Rio Grande Southern Jeffery Spike / 30 lb. rail display, key marked D&RG W RR with cracked hilt, loose Jeffery spikes and other small spikes, six black and white photos from what appear to be Durango and Silverton in 1975, frames Galloping Goose framed advertisement, three reproduction narrow gauge signs, and three Rio Grande Southern Dispatch sheets dating between 1933 and 1940. 400 - Porcelain "Warning Close Clearance" Sign

Sign measures 33" x 16". The sign has a relatively clean field that has retained some gloss. The condition issues are mostly on the right edge of the sign where there is a 3 3/8" long section of rust / chipping / denting. It would indeed appear that something clipped the sign on this side. The white background does show light brown spotting, but has not rusted through and the porcelain is intact.

402 - Baldwin Locomotive Works #552 Steam Locomotive Number Plate

Plate measures 14 3/8" in diameter and reads, " Baldwin Locomotive Works 552 Philadelphia USA" According to Baldwin records, this plate may have belonged to Louisiana and Arkansas 2-8-2 #552. The mount on the rear of plate is stamped with 12' 48 4 E 459 The rear of the plate has signs of cracking and some newer grinding. The front of the plate only shows one hairline crack but has been primered over in the number area which may be hiding additional cosmetic issues. Sold as is shown in the photos.

403 - Plymouth Locomotive Builders Plate, South Shore GE 80 Ton Manual, Army 10 Ton Switcher Manual, and June 1959 Department of the Army Supply Manual

Group includes a 6" diameter Plymouth oval builders plate marked with M303 1953 on the reverse, Chicago, South Shore, & South Bend Railroad / NICTD GE 80 ton switcher FRA records and instruction / repair manual. 404 - American Locomotive Works No. 2 1927 Locomotive Number Plate (Possibly Poland Spring 0-6-0T)

Plate measures 12 7/8" in diameter and reads, "American Locomotive Works 1927" The number "2" is attached with Phillips head screws and hex nuts on the reverse. There is a chance that this plate comes from Poland Spring 0-6-0T #2 which was built in late 1927 but we do not have conclusive proof. See photos for best description.

Matched pair of Peter Gray marker lamps embossed with CONN. CO. on the side of the body. Below the Conn Co embossing is the "Peter Gray & Sons Makers Boston" embossed oval makers information. Both burner pots are intact and complete with founts and outside wick raisers. The bodies show signs of older repainting and also show some minor rust wear around the chimney bands. No rust through on the bodies.

407 - Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corp. / USS Plymouth Locomotive Bell and Reverser Blue Prints From 1941

Two Plymouth locomotive blue prints for Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corp. / USS Plymouth Locomotives #29, 30 & 31. The real gem is the blue prints for the locomotive bells. A really unique print showinh the yoke, bell, lever, frame, etc. Just a really neat blue print. Would look outstanding framed. The same type of print included for the locomotive reverser for the same locomotives. Prints measure 35" x 27" The prints are July 1941 on the reverse. See photos for best description.

408 - Western Railroad Supply No. 1870 Electrified Switch Lamp w/ Red and Yellow Day Targets

This lamp has been restored with new hardware and gaskets. The day targets have a wonderful gloss to them and the body is clean and retains part of its' original electrical pigtail.

409 - Railroad Ticket Punch, Yale Junior Locks, Norfolk and Western Key, etc.

Includes ticket punch stamped repaired, two Yale Junior locks with keys (one cast with circle Yale, and the other with Yale Junior), American barrel key with square hilt stamped NW, and two unknown keys. See photos for best description.

410 - Pair of New York Central RPO Candle Lamps w/ Brackets and Pyrex Glass

Both brackets stamped with NYCS. One unpainted in natural brass, the other in gray. Both include the wall mounting brackets and Pyrex marked glass. Both are stamped NYCS on the body bracket.

411 - 1864 Adams & Westlake / Hart & Duff St. Louis Hatmakers Queen's Lantern

A really unique Adams & Westlake bell bottom presentation lantern. Screw bottom with the fount missing. The underside has the Adams & Westlake stamp with a patent date of Apr. 26 64. The underside is also marked with Hart & Duff St. Louis. Hart & Duff was a hat maker which had A&W produce lanterns for them to sell. The globe is a clear CNX / Dietz Vesta measuring 4 3/8" tall. This unique lantern did come from a smoking household and has nicotine staining on the wire guard and around the crevasses of the lantern. Also a very tight hairline crack is forming at the edge of the bell. The crack is approximately 3/8" long.

412 - Adams & Westlake No. 117 Convertible Semaphore Lamp

Adams & Westlake round body convertible semaphore lamp. This unique lamp includes both a burner pot and provisions for an electrical light bulb factory mounted to the inner wall of the lantern. The door has the oval Adams & Westlake Company Makers Chicago tag on the door. There is also still a partial inspection tag in the interior. The lamp is unrestored and has decent original paint with some areas of light flash rust on the interior of the bottom. Burner pot is complete.

413 - Adams & Westlake New York, New Haven, & Hartford No. 250 Kero Short Globe Lantern

Adlake No. 250 Kero embossed with N.Y. N.H. & H. R.R. on the top. The lantern body has an older coat of orange paint. Includes a short clear Adlake Reliable CNX globe with N.Y.N.H. & H. cast in panel. Includes the Adlake original burner pot. Top has a small dent, otherwise no notable condition issues. The photographs appear to date from the early 1930's and have US&S serial numbers in the lower right corner. These photos were reprinted by Railway Signaling and Communications in Volume 25 No. 9 in September of 1932. 440 - Union Switch and Signal Sections A-B Mechanical Catalogue - 1920

Catalog was printed in March of 1920 and while the cover is intact, the binding is starting to crack and split. Lettering is still bright and legible and the book appears to be complete.

441 - Penn Central Brakeman's Flag Kit

Original condition with red paint and flag with wooden dowel. The kit measures 22" tall and is embossed with the Penn Central logo on the ends. No other contents other than the flag.

Cast with Yale and stamped with B&O Electrical Department on the front of the lock body, reverse has the Yale logo cast in. Top of the body stamped with Super Pin Tumbler. The body is painted black and has very light wear. No key.

458 - Burlington Route / CB&Q Railroad CNX Red 5 3/8" Globe

Globe has Burlington Route cast in a rectangular panel with rounded corners. Globe measures 5 3/8" tall with CNX cast in the rear. Very minor chipping in both rims, and a few tiny nicks on the glass.

459 - Pennsylvania Railroad Signal Department Lock w/ Original Key

Lock has the Pennsylvania keystone herald stamped on the key cover. The reverse side of the body is stamped with SIGNAL DEPARTMENT. Included is the original key which opens the lock. Key hilt is stamped P.R.R. and Y4340 on the reverse. Lock has typical signs of use, but no notable condition issues.

825 - “Overland Under Way”

Train number 28, the San Francisco Overland, is just getting underway at the Oakland Mole in this early 1950's vignette. From this starting point the train will travel over halfway across the United States and end its journey in Chicago. Leading the Overland is Southern Pacific's number 4449. This class of engine was initially designed to pull the famed Daylight trains on the California coast. The days of steam are numbered for these once famous engines, and it would not be uncommon to find its type on number 28. In the coming years 4449 will elude the scrapper's torch, find refuge for time on display, and then be restored to pull the famous Freedom Train. It will then go on to become one of the most famous excursion engines in steam locomotive history. This "Highball” from the Oakland Mole is the beginning of the trip for the Overland and only a footnote for engine 4449.

Two of America's most famous trains, the Pennsylvania Railroad Broadway Limited and New York Central 20th Century Limited race side by side in this railroad masterpiece. Both of the locomotives depicted in this scene were the pinnacle of each railroad's effort to streamline their locomotive fleet. The Pennsylvania K4s with streamlining created by famed industrial designer Raymond Lowey and the New York Central Dreyfuss Hudson designed by equally notable designer Henry Dreyfuss. This work is also one of Paulson's most notable paintings and was featured as a stand alone print. Painting is in excellent condition and would be a jewel in any art collection. Dated 1980 on verso. 837 - “Making Way for Giants”

Engine number 4014, a Union Pacific Big Boy, is coming down Echo Canyon with a load of westbound freight. The track inspector has just cleared, and will give the train a good roll-by inspection. Big Boy steam locomotives are big and powerful. They were designed in the 1940’s to move freight across the mountain ranges of Utah and Wyoming. Number 4014 has been restored by Union Pacific and operates on excursions to demonstrate the proud heritage of American railroads.

845 - “Crossing Legends”

Two of the world’s most famous steam engines are making the “Curvo Crossing”. It is around 1950 in a remote location of Echo Canyon, Utah. The 844 is heading west with train 23, the “Gold Coast”, and the 3985 is working east with a heavy freight. These two engines will provide regular service for a few more years and then will move on to serve as ambassadors of steam and the Union Pacific Railroad. The 844 is the only US steam engine to never be retired. The 3985, after a time on static display, will eventually be restored. Together, the two engines will earn a spot as two of the most famous railroad locomotives in the world.

846 - 1995 Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern United States Original Water Color Painting

Original water color painting by Angela Trotta Thomas. This painting was commissioned by Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern United States in 1995. Angela Trotta Thomas was selected that year to be the first female artist to create the poster art for the Concours. This painting features a 1929 Stutz Model M Vertical 8 Town Car in front of "Loretto" which was once the private railroad passenger car of Charles Schwab. The passenger car now resides as part of the collection of the North Carolina Transportation Museum. 856 - Framed 1931 Packard Model 840 Convertible Sedan - Signed to Dick & Linda Kughn

Framed print gifted from artist Angela Trotta Thomas to Richard and Linda Kughn. The print features a 1931 Packard Model 840 convertible sedan. Front is signed, "To Dick & Linda," in the lower center portion. The reverse is signed, "Dear Dick & Linda Thanks for always having such "wonderful refrence" to work from! Love Angela" Plexi glass does have one light scratch that runs through the lower matting area. Part of the Richard Kughn Railroad and Automotive Art Collection.

A Chesapeake and Ohio H-6 2-6-6-2 mallet steam locomotive works to pull a freight train up a long grade. Signed on the bottom right. Painting is in excellent condition. Dated 1984 on verso. Vehicles featured in the poster include a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, 1956 Lincoln Premier Convertible and 1956 Ford Country Squire.

249B - Porcelain Railway Express Agency Baggage Cart Sign

Two part porcelain sign. The "REA" portion of the sign measures 52" x 5 1/2" while the "Express" portion measures 70" x 5 1/2" The sign has typical porcelain loss around the grommet holes which on average measures about an inch in diameter. The signs otherwise have a really nice level of gloss with very strong lettering.

250B - Porcelain Railroad Crossing "2 Tracks" Sign w/ Glass Cat Eye Reflectors

Sign measures 27 1/4" wide by 16 7/8" tall. The sign has nearly all of it's original porcelain intact with only a few minor chips. There is also a fair amount of gloss left to the sign. The number two retains all of the original glass cat eyes while the word tracks is missing about 80%. That being said, we know there are a fair number loose inside the sign, so expect to recover some of them when the sign is opened.

251B - Porcelain Railroad Crossbuck Sign w/ Glass Cat Eye Reflectors

Railroad crossbuck set measuring 40 1/2" square. Porcelain coated steel with ALL of the glass cat eye reflectors intact. Porcelain chipping at the upper corner of "Crossing" and a few slightly bent / chipped areas along the same edge. The reverse has a partial pole mount and a 50/50 mix of original paint and rust. Overall a nice set of crossbucks with patina to match. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. This lot may be picked up in Lafayette Indiana or will require 3rd party shipping arrangements to be made.

252B - Union Switch and Signal PATH / Port Authority Trans Hudson 3 Aspect Dwarf Signal

Union Switch and Signal dwarf signal with three aspects and an aluminum blank out plate over the potential fourth position. Signal was removed from PATH and has plastic visors and RB26X on the blank out plate. Signal interior is intact with sockets and original wiring. See photos for best description. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. This lot may be picked up in Lafayette Indiana or will require 3rd party shipping arrangements to be made.

253B - Connecticut Transit / CT Transit Bus Farebox

Box is marked with 826 number plate on the front, Connecticut Transit 5041 plate on the side as well as Conn. 74 1835 DOT oval data tag on the side. No manufactures tag. Missing the glass and coin box. Good canidate for restoration. See photos for best description.

254B - 6th Avenue Manhattan Subway Station Porcelain Sign

Porcelain sign measuring 45" x 6" and reads "To 6th Ave. Manhattan" Sign has a 2" diameter chip in the lower right corner. There is also a mild amount of chipping and rust staining along the upper edge. MIssing four brass grommets. Sign has a slight bend to it and retains some of its' original gloss.

255B - Adlake Three Color Subway Hand Signal

All three handles are marked Adlake and retain good color on the handles. All three lenses are intact. Only condition issue is a broken bolt ear on one edge.

256B - 149th Street - 3d Avenue New York Subway Sign

Double sided sign measures 25 1/2" x 4" and reads, "149th ST. 3d AVENUE" Sign is painted and has a few very minor chips and small rust spots. On one side the "NU" in avenue has paint chipping and more starting to lift. Otherwise the sign is in nice condition.

257B - New York City / New York City Transit Authority Subway R26, R28, R29, R33, R33S, R36 Destination Roll Sign w/ Three Rolls

Original frame and destination roll sign from an R26, R28, R29, R33, R33S, R36 subway car. Rolls are hand turned with three individual knobs on the rear of the frame. Frame measures 28" x 30" The rolls include well known destinations such as Grand Central, Time Square, and others. The informational data at the end of the roll show a date of September 1990. Sign is in good condition.

258B - New York City Subway / New York City Transit Authority R-10 Front of End Route Indicator Roll Sign

Hand cranked New York Subway end route / line indicator sign with metal frame. Frame measures 16 1/4" x 16 1/2" by approximately 9" deep. Roll includes the D, H, C , A, and special signs. The last roll shows a date of September 1988. Sign is in good condition. See photos for best description.

259B - Pennsylvania Railroad Wooden Gate Sign - Special Trains Lower Yard

Pennsylvania wooden gate sign possibly from Trenton, New Jersey depot. Wooden sign measuring 32 3/4" x 18 1/2". Sign is painted and reads, " Special Trains Lower Yard Eliz -Newark- New York" Sign is very clean for the age with only light wear at the corners. The rear has chalk markings which read Platform Sign. Two hanging hooks present at the top.

260B - Pennsylvania Railroad Wooden Gate Sign - Elizabeth - Newark - New York

Pennsylvania wooden gate sign possibly from Trenton, New Jersey depot. Wooden sign measuring 32 3/4" x 18 1/2". Sign is painted and reads, " Elizabeth Newark New York" Sign is clean for the age with only light wear at the corners and some spotting on the lettering which might clean. There is chalk writing on the reverse of the sign.

462B - Milwaukee Road / Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Clear Lantern Globe

Globe measures 5 9/16" tall, no makers mark. CM&St PRy is cast into the clear globe a few minor chips limited to the bottom rim. No makers marks.
