Wrench is stamped with UNION PACFIC on the head and measures 15" long. W&B cast into the handle. Shows typical tool usage.

Group of ten Pennsylvania Employee timetables. Includes Logansport No.6, Toldeo No. 5, Indianapolis No. 6, Panhandle No. 7, St. Louis No. 29, Cincinnati No. 8, Middle No. 7, Philadelphia No. 8, Philadelphia No. 9, Pittsburgh No. 9, and Columbus No. 6. 1003 - White Flame Light Company Union Pacific Railroad Wall Lamp

Lamp is embossed with UP RR on the back of the lamp and is equipped with a White Flame fount and burner assembly. Two minor stress cracks in the metal on the rear of the lamp, clean fuel tank, and clean globe.

Also included is Georgia Railroad No. 3, New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal No. 2, Chicago and Western Indiana No. 93, Bangor and Aroostook No. 198, New Haven No. 163, and Frisco Eastern No. 35D, Northern No. 37, Southwestern 35C, Western No. 37, and Central No. 36. Some minor staining and condition issues, but the group is generally in good condition.

Burlington and Missouri River Railroad in Nebraska group of framed paper. Includes Southern division employee timetable No.53 dated November 17, 1895, 40 share stock certificate dated 1871, and a note from the Superintendent dated Feb 15, 1872 in regards to correct billing of B&MRR freight cars. 1016 - Slaymaker Atlanta & St. Andrews Bay Railroad Lock w/ Marked Key

Shackle is stamped with Z BAYLINE on the front and 1957 on the reverse. Slaymaker makers mark embossed on the dust cover. Brass key stamped with A&ST AB on the front and A-169 on reverse. Worn makers mark is faint but present on the key. The key does operate the lock. Original chain attached.

Twenty one Union Pacific Employee Timetables, sixteen public timetables, and two Livestock schedules. The employee tables date from 1939 through 1978 with the majority being 1940's and 50's. 1020 - Four Railroad Locks - Chesapeake and Ohio, Soo Line, Nickel Plate, and Delaware and Hudson - Slaymaker and Adlake

Group of four railroad locks including newer Yale brass heart shaped lock with Made for C&O stamped on the front. F-S / Slaymaker marked lock with SOO-SW stamped in the shackle. Includes Adlake Soo Line marked key which does operate the lock. Adlake Nickel Plate lock with NKP stamped in the body 16687 stamped in the shackle. Adlake key marked NKP on the hilt with 12998 on the reverse. The final lock is a Delaware and Hudson Slaymaker with D&H RR stamped on the shackle with S 1963 on the reverse. 1022 - Northern Pacific, Great Northern, and Union Pacific Railroad Locks - Adlake and Slaymaker

Group of three railroad locks including Adlake Northern Pacific with NP SWITCH stamped on the body includes and NP marked Adlake key which does operate the lock. Some cleaning to the stamping on the lock body. Slaymaker Great Northern lock with GNRY stamped on the shackle. Includes a GNRY serif marked Slaymaker key which does operate the lock. Finally an Adlake Union Pacific lock stamped with UPRR-NO-1 SWITCH on the body with UPRR marked key with 63 stamped on the reverse of the hilt. The body has been cleaned and polished. Overall a nice group of western railroad locks.

Polished brass Buffalo fire extinguisher with New York Central System name plate. The name plate is loose from the body with a torn corner which is still present on the body. The body has wear to the plating, along with minor tarnish of the water shield, but no notable condition issues beyond those items.

Armspear lantern embossed with N&W. RY on the shoulder. The body has been repainted and restored. The short red globe has been etched with N&W R.Y but the etchings appear to be a later addition. Pair of Adlake Southern Pacific locks. Both shackles are stamped CS-4S with the lock bodies stamped SP CO. Brass keys included which operate the locks. One key hilt is stamped S.P.CO. on the front with the A&W makers mark, 15388 and S on the reverse. Hilt shows pocket wear. The second key is stamped S.P. CS-4 on the front and A&W makers mark and S on the reverse. Locks have some wear, but no notable condition issues.

The only notable condition issues with the body are that the thread mount to hold the burner in place has come loose and one wire guard has a broken joint. Can be repaired with minor tin work. The clear globe is etched in Old English with what appears to be Jas. A. Gilson. Globe is in good condition.

CT Ham No.3 lantern with very nice plating. One very tiny dent at the very tip of the lantern top. Clean bell bottom, bale, etc. Judging from some of the plating on the burner pot and fount, this lantern was likely restored and re-plated at some point. Miller wick raiser installed. The globe is etched in Old English with the name Chas G. Hanna. There is a note included with the lantern which indicates that Charles Hanna was the Mayor of Syracuse New York from 1926-1929. Dietz 39 standard tin lantern. No specific railroad or fire markings. The top and underside are well marked for Deitz. The burner pot and wick raiser are present. Last patent date on the underside of 1910. Equipped with a cast Dietz 39 RR Dietz Vulcan clear globe with minor rim chips and a 1 1/2" crack extending down from the top. 1222 - Electric Fire Gong / Bell 11 5/8" - Cast Blake Bell Co. - United Electric Apparatus Company

Large twin coil electric fire bell / gong. The brass gong is 11 5/8" in diameter and is cast with Blake Bell Co / Hooper & Co on the inside. The cast iron mechanism has some lettering cast into the back but it is not legible due to pitting from age. The electric contact is stamped U.E.A. Co. Boston Mass which leads us to believe this is from the United Electric Apparatus Company. Based on Blake Bell dates of operation, this piece likely dates to pre 1900. Four keys all stamped with C&O on the hilt, three of the four marked Adlake on the reverse. All individually marked on the reverse. Markings include 5942, 30260, 8470, and A 730. Group exhibits minor pocket wear at the top of the hilts, but lettering is all still legible.

Milwaukee Road Railroad brass heart shaped switch lock with key. The lock is cast with CM&StPRR. in the front rectangular panel. The key is stamped C M S T P &P. The reverse of the key is stamped with Adlake. The lock body shows wear and minor discoloration. The key does operate the lock and shows little if any pocket wear, possibly a restamped key.

Five Baltimore and Ohio brass switch keys. All five hilts are stamped B&O RR CO. The F-S keys use serif font while the Slaymaker keys are not. Two of the keys are marked Slaymaker on the reverse and three marked with the F-S makers mark. All five keys have ID numbers including 94220, 76268, 61769, 111940, and 141030. All five keys also stamped with an S on the reverse. Keys show some pocket wear, but no major condition issues noted.

Shackle on the lock is stamped with M&O RR. The reverse of the shackle is stamped W. Bohannan Brooklyn N.Y. 119? (The 9 has been partially obscured) There is also a patent date which appears to be June 25, '78 and a serif "S". The dust cover is cast with Push Shackle In to Get Key Out. The front of the lock body has some denting from hammer strikes near the upper right. This has slightly deformed the lock body which has slightly skewed the shackle. Original chain links attached. Group includes four Adlake keys stamped Burlington Route on the hilt with Adlake on the reverse. One key is also stamped with an "S". Two Burlington Northern keys stamped BNR and BN-M. Keys show some light wear, but overall the group is in good condition.

1257 - Louisville and Nashville Railroad Iron Heart Shaped Lock w/ Key

Iron heart shaped lock with L&N RR stamped on the shackle. The reverse has manufacturing information which is unreadable. It is believed that this lock is a Speckmann based on noted from the Knous book. The lock has had an additional hole drilled which passes through the body and the shackle. The body also has some mild nicks and dents at the edges. The key is an Adlake key which is stamped L&N and does operate the lock.

The key does operate the lock. Chain appears to be newer. Lock shows mild wear and key has light pocket wear at the top of the hilt.

Lock is stamped with IB&W RR on the front of the shackle. The reverse is stamped C. All stampings are serif fonts. The key cover is stamped with Union Brass Mfg Co. Chicago. Includes an unmarked key with matching patina which does operate the lock. Body has light wear and oxidation, but no detrimental condition issues.

1311 - English Railroad Switch Lever / Strong Arm Patent Model - Mid 1800's - John Imray

Patent model featuring a railroad switch lever / interlocking bed that would have been found in a switch tower. The model measures 7 1/2" wide, 8" deep, and 12" tall. The front of the model reads, "John Imray Inventor London" The levers are labeled "Branch Signal, "Point" and "Main Signal". Imray was a patent attorney who was born in 1820 and died in 1902. Other research shows that from 1850 to 1867 was granted numerous patents in the field of railroading which likely dates the model to this time period. One lever is slightly bent, otherwise the model shows and presents nicely. Model is built from steel with a high level of machining and detail. Per our consignor, this item was once a part of the company archives of the New Haven Railroad.

1315 - Detroit, Lansing & Northern Railroad Wilson Bohannan Brass Heart Lock w/ Key

The lock shackle is stamped with DL&N RR in serif font, the reverse is stamped with the Wilson Bohannan manufacturing information along with a serif S to the right side. The top of the shackle has worn on the top edge on both sides, partially obscuring the original stampings. Also included is a Michigan Central switch key which does operate the lock. The lock is in good condition with the exception of the wear to the shackle. A nice example of a scarce lock.

1317 - 1868 English Railroad / Railway Signal Kit - Knight, Merry, and Davies

1868 signal kit made by the English firm of Knight, Merry and Davies. Kit is contained in a red painted metal box which 15 1/2" x 5" x 3 1/2" tall. There is a tag attached to the top of the box which is a patent tag which reads , " J. Dura ?? Railroad Signal Box Patented Nov 3 1868" Inside the box are three folding flags with wooden handles and ten Alarm Signals, four of the original paper tags are included which read, "Knight, Merry & Davies Manufactures of Improved Alarm Signal 131 Bradford Street Birmingham" Due to the sensitive nature of these alarm signals, we are unable to ship them. If the winning bidder wishes to pickup this lot in person with the signals, they may do so. If the buyer would like the item shipped, we will remove the Alarm Signals but include three of the original paper labels. Per our consignor, this item was once a part of the company archives of the New Haven Railroad.

1323 - 1852 Peter Guiou Railroad Steam Locomotive Spark Arrestor Patent Model

Wooden and steel patent model from 1852 showing a prototype spark arrestor system to be mounted on top of a steam locomotive and passenger train. This system would have acted as an exhaust pipe directing the sparks generated by the train out the stack and exiting directly behind the train. There is a plaque attached to the model which reads, " Railroad Smoke & Spark Conductor Invented by Peter C. Guiou August 11, 1852 Cincinnati, Ohio" The model measures 26 1/2" long, 3" wide, and 6 1/4" tall. The model is in generally good condition with the exception of a number of the wooden wheel flanges have broken over the years. There is a second paper tag tacked to the side of the model which has faded but appears to read, "Spark Conductor August 11, 1852" This model showcases a unique idea and presents it in a way that is engaging and enjoyable to look at. Per our consignor, this item was once a part of the company archives of the New Haven Railroad.

1327 - Framed Housatonic Railroad 1888? Timetable

Framed Housatonic Railroad timetable that we believe dates to 1888. The frame measures 20" x 25" while the visible timetable measures approximately 15" x 20" The printing information at the lower right states "Matthews, Northrup & Co. Buffalo and New York 3988E" The table displays a system map along with a timetable and all the connecting railroads. There are creases and minor tears along the original folds but no notable issues other than light discoloration from age and minor staining at one fold. Per our consignor, this item was once a part of the company archives of the New Haven Railroad. This is supported by a framing tag on the reverse which is from the Muson Gallery in New Haven Connecticut.

Frame measures 29 1/2" x 15 1/2" and has a few light scuffs and areas of varnish loss. The matte and photograph are both in good condition.

The "REA" portion of the sign measures 52" x 5 1/2" while the "Express" portion measures 70" x 5 1/2" Three grommets are missing, two are damaged. No notable porcelain chips, some minor scuffs and dirt. The pair displays nicely with good gloss.

1367 - Unmarked Railroad Locomotive Headlight

Oil / kerosene fired locomotive headlight. Light is unmarked and measures 17 1/2" wide, 24" tall, and 11" deep. The lens measures 12" in diameter. The burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are intact. No rust on the body with the exception of one pin hole in the side door. The lamp body has likely been repainted at one time.

1371 - Harrington Railroad Train Order / Semaphore Signal Blade

Signal blade for the uncommon Harrington Semaphore / Train Order signal. The green lens appears to be a replacement while the red lens appears to be original and has moderate chipping. The blade measures 65" x 28" and the wooden board appears to be original. The red flat lens is broke, but the green lens is intact. The lens retainer has some rust damage. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. This lot may be picked up in Lafayette Indiana or will require freight shipping which we can facilitate.

1373 - Steel Railroad 60 Degree Crossbuck Set w/ Plastic Cat Eye Reflectors

Large steel set of railroad crossbucks measuring 68 1/4" x 39 1/4". Retains partial pole mount brackets on the reverse. Heavy surface rust, some dirt and a few damaged or missing reflectors. These would make a great restoration project or could be used as is with a bit of clean up. Please note that this is not a standard shippable item. This lot may be picked up in Lafayette Indiana or will require 3rd party shipping arrangements to be made.

1375 - Miniature Train Company Model E Set - Serial #45

Miniature Train Company model E locomotive and three articulated passenger cars. The data plate on the locomotive designates this as train No. 45 and the model as E. The car and truck number are unstamped. The observation car is still stenciled for the Burlington Route / CB&Q. These are shells only, no wheels, trucks, mechanicals, etc. These are truly a blank canvas for someone to work from. The good news is that aside from some bends and dings, the bodies are solid with very little rust beyond surface. There are some minor areas around the motor mounting areas in the engine which may need some minor patching, but overall is is a solid set .The locomotive and observation car are both 98 inches long and the center cars are 77 inches long. The set may be picked up at our warehouse in Lafayette Indiana or we have the ability to crate and freight these. Please note there is no roof hatch for the locomotive or no tail roof for the observation.

1376 - General Electric 45 /50 Ton Diesel Switcher Builders Plate #15877 - Oct. 1942

General Electric switcher builders plate for serial #15877 which started life is US Army 503 / 7327 and later become Conoco Oil 7327, and finally Kosciusko & Southern #503. Build date of October 1942. Plate has some discoloration around the rivet holes and light scuffs, but no major condition issues. Plate measures 8" x 5".

1377 - Handlan Illinois Central Railroad Wire Guard Lantern w/ Clear Cast Globe

Handlan single wire guard lantern w/ inside wick raiser. Lantern is embossed with I.C.R.R. on the shoulder. Lantern body has been cleaned and shows some mild pitting but no rust. Drop in burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are present. Clear globe cast with I.C.R.R. and measures 5 1/2" tall. Rims are 1/8" thick. Some light rim wear, but no chips, cracks or breaks.

1378 - Montreal Locomotive Works Canadian National #1762 MR-14C Locomotive Builders Plate

Montreal Locomotive Works diesel locomotive builders plate for serial #83239 built 2-60. This locomotive started life as Canadian National RS-18 #3859 and finished its' service as MR-14C #1762. Interestingly this locomotive survived the scrappers torch and has been on display outside the Kensington Station on Prince Edward Island in Canada. Included with the plate are photos of the locomotive while it sat in disrepair before its' eventual donation. The plate has scuffs and marks but all the mounting holes are intact. Plate measures 12 1/4" x 6"

1379 - Adams & Westlake Atlanta, Birmingham & Atlantic Railway Adams Lantern w/ Clear Etched Globe

Adams & Westlake "Adams" lantern embossed with A. B & A. R.R. on the shoulder Last patent date of May 5. 1908. Hairline 1" crack runs through the first embossed A on the shoulder of the lantern. Body has been cleaned and shows mild pitting. CNX cast globe measures 5 1/2" tall and is etched A B & A. Ry. There is a 3 1/2" long crack that runs from the top into the body of the globe. Burner pot, outside wick raiser, and fount are present.

1380 - Lima Locomotive Works Builders Plate - New York Central Railroad steam locomotive 0-8-0 #8012

Lima Locomotive Works brass builders plate for serial number 7683 which is a New York Central 0-8-0 steam locomotive as noted on the back. Locomotive is noted to have started life as Pittsburgh & Lake Erie #8012 when it was built in April of 1937. Our consignor states that this information was painted on the reverse when the locomotive was scrapped in Ohio in 1959. The plate has two broken mounting holes which had at one time been repaired and have since broken again with the pieces now missing. The plate measures approximately 15 3/4" x 9 1/4" this is accounting for the broken ears. Plate has been cleaned. There is a faint stamping along the upper right and lower left edges of the plate which appears to read 54-158 although these numbers are worn.

Adams & Westlake "Adlake Reliable" lantern embossed with V. S & P. Ry. on the shoulder Last patent date of 1923. Body has been cleaned and shows moderate pitting in areas but no rust through. Unmarked extended base globe measures 5 7/16" tall and has a crack running halfway down the seam line on one side. Burner pot, outside wick raiser, and fount are present.

The base and the top do not have equal amounts of pitting which leads us to believe there may be some additional restoration work performed on this lantern. Unmarked green globe measures 5 3/8" tall and has a unmarked rectangular panel. Burner pot, outside wick raiser, and fount are present.

Keystone Pennsylvania lantern embossed with P.R.R. on the shoulder. Last patent date of June 1903 (Some mild denting around this patent date). The body shows light surface rust, but no deep pitting. Minor dent on one side of the chimney. CNX cast extended base red globe measures 5 7/16" tall and is cast with P.R.R. in serif font. Some minor lower rim chips but no notable chips, cracks or breaks. Burner pot, K.C. fount, and wick raiser are intact.

Group of six Housatonic Railroad lithographed cards each depicting a unique scene at the Parlor Rock Grove and Picnic Ground. The cards are all dated April 1881. Cards are series numbers E-2, E-6,E-9, E-3, and two unmarked. Cards were printed by Farmer, Livermore & Co. Cards show very mild pocket wear and a few very mild stains. 1388 - Pair of 1903 Birmingham Alabama Union Station Passes Issued to the Superintended of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad

Pair of passes from the Birmingham Alabama Union Station issued to B.M Starks, the superintendent of the Louisville and Nashville in 1903. One pass is for the station itself and is signed by the station superintendent. The second pass is for the Union Depot Restaurant for complimentary meals. The meal pass is numbered 26 and signed by the Proprietor. Both passes are in good condition

1389 - Armspear Giant Philadelphia & Reading Railroad Lantern w/ Clear Cast Globe

Armspear giant lantern embossed with P.&R. R.R. and has a last patent date of August 19, 1913. The top shoulder has some mild denting, but the body is clean with no deep pitting. The globe in a CNX cast with P. & R. Ry. in rounded end panel. One notable chip at the top, but not visible when the top is closed. One bubble on the lower edge near the seam. Globe measures 5 1/2" tall. Burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are intact.

1390 - Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway Unused Pocket Watch Loaner Card

Unused card for the loan of a pocket watch on the Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway. Card is form 4096 and appears to date to the early 1900's. Names mentioned on the pass include F. Whittemore General Manager and H.J. Webb General Time Keeper. Card is a unique record and in like new condition.

Dietz Vesta embossed with G.M.& N. R.R. on the shoulder. The body is unrestored with mild surface rust and wear. Moderate pitting on the top and the shoulder displays signs of cleaning. Equipped with CNX cast clear globe in good condition with no chips, cracks or breaks

The underside Handlan embossed lettering is worn. Cast CNX globe with Safety First cast into the globe. Some minor rim wear and a few notable bubbles in the glass. No chips, cracks or breaks. Globe measures 5 7/8" tall.

1394 - Four Passes Issued to F.L. Wilson of the New York Central Lines - NY&O, Pikes Peak, Hollander Hotel, and Tanner Motor Tours

Group of four annual passes / passes issued to F.L. Wilson of the New York Central Lines. Includes 1901 "Twentieth Century Railway Co." pass issued by the New York, Ontario and Western Railway. The second is a pass for the Hollander Hotel in Cleveland Ohio when Wilson still worked for the New York Central & Hudson River Railroad. The third is for a 1927 Tanner Motor Tours pass. The fourth and final is a 1925 pass for a Pikes Peak Auto Highway. All four passes have skinning / mounting residue on the reverse from mounting along with a bit of pencil writing. Long from the Canadian National Railway, 1911 Western Union pass No. 4731 issued to the Intercolonial Railway, 1929 Western Union, and 1950/51 issued to T.H. Sass from the New York Central System. 1399 - Dietz 39 Standard Brooklyn Rapid Transit Railway Bell Bottom Lantern

Dietz No. 39 standard double wire guard, bell bottom lantern. The shoulder of the lantern is embossed with B.R.T.. The top of the chimney has some minor denting, but the remainder of the body is in good condition and has some mild wear and light areas of surface rust. Last patent date on the underside of Dec 13, 1910. Unmarked amber globe installed. Globe measures 5 9/16" tall and the rims are 1/8" thick. Likely a replacement globe. Burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are present.

1400 - 1892 Rio Grande Southern Otto Mears Silver Filigree Pass No. 479

One of if not the most iconic passes created in American railroad history! This 1892 Rio Grande Southern silver filigree created by the craftsmen S. Spitz of Santa Fe for legendary railroad President Otto Mears. The pass is number #479 and is issued to G.W. Pratt of Oshkosh Wisconsin. G.W. Pratt is George White Pratt who was one of the largest dealers of lumber in the state of Wisconsin He also served as the mayor of Oshkosh and as a delegate to the 1884 Democratic National Convention.The pass itself is No. 479 and has been a part of the collection of Charles Stats for many years. The family has had the pass registered with San Juan County Historical Society in 2021.The pass includes its' original leather carrying case which is stamped with gold lettering which reads "Compliments of the Rio Grande Southern and Silverton Railroad" The carrying case has some wear to the corners and edges from time.This pass in fine condition with no notable condition issues. We have left the pass uncleaned and it is showing mild tarnish and oxidation from age. It is marked on the reverse with S. Spitz Santa Fe

Handlan single wire guard lantern with C.C.C. & St.L.R.R. embossed into the shoulder. Handlan markings on the underside with what appears to be a last patent date of 1912. There is some adhesive residue obscuring the numbers. The body has been cleaned. Two very minor dings on the top. Unmarked clear cast globe with CCC & StL Ry cast into it. Clean rims. Globe measures 5 9/16" tall. Burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are present.

1886 Brooklyn Annex annual pass No. 52 issues to James Reed from the Pennsylvania Railroad. Hand signed by the president of the Annex. Pass is very clean with the exception of a price and inventory control number written on the reverse in pencil. Printed by the American Bank Note Co.

Moderate rim chip on the lower edge, but not visible when the globe is installed in the body. Globe measures 5 1/2" tall. Burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are present.

Group of four St. Louis related passes including 1886 St. Louis Exposition and Music Hall Association press pass No. 194, 1890 St. Louis Agricultural and Mechanical Association annual fair pass No. 470 with passes still attached for five of the six days, 1892 St. Louis Agricultural and Mechanical Association Fair members ticket No. 650, and 1927/1928 St. Louis Railway Club Annual Pass No. 270. Passes show light wear and the railway pass has some minor creases.

Railroad Signal Lamp & Lantern Co. Southern Railway lantern embossed with S. Ry on the shoulder. The top of the lantern has the manufacturing information with a visible patent date of 1889. There are other dates which have been partially worn away. The body is uncleaned with surface rust, some very minor dents on the top. The lid clasp is missing and the top likes to pop open. CNX cast clear globe with Southern Ry. cast in rectangular panel with rounded ends. Some minor rim chips on both ends, and one minor bubble noted. No major chips, cracks or breaks.

1416 - Brookline & Pepperell Railroad Opening Day 1892 Dinner Ticket

A unique opening day artifact from the Brookline & Pepperell Railroad on September 8, 1892. This dinner ticket was issued in celebration of the completion of the railroad in Brookline, Massachusetts. The ticket has minor staining and one slightly torn and one bent corner. It is our understanding that items from the opening day of the railroad are incredibly scarce. Body has been cleaned with no notable condition issues beyond very minor pitting. A few very tiny dings at the rim at the edge of the chimney. Red CNX cast globe is cast with B.& O. R.R. near the top rim. Globe has minor lower rim chips and measures 5 3/8" tall. Burner pot, outside wick raiser, and fount are present.

1418 - 1895 Pullman Annual Railroad Pass Accompaniment Letter

1895 letter which accompanied the Pullman annual pass. Reads, " 1895. With Mr. Pullman's Compliments. The Annual Ticket Enclosed Herein Will Be Honored On All Cars Operated In The Pullman System in America and Europe." The letter measures 5 1/4" square and two notable crease lines. The creases have started to split at the ends and there is also minor staining.

1419 - Three Railroad Lantern Short globes - L&N, C&NW, Toledo, St. Louis, and Western

Group of three railroad lantern short globes. Two Kopp and one CNX. The two Kopp globes have pronounce mold seams and have both been etched. One for L&N RR for Louisville and Nashville and the second with TSTL&WRR for Toledo, St. Louis, and Western. While both globes have minor rim chips we have reason to believe they are later etchings and possibly reproduction. The CNX globe has been etched for C&N.W. for Chicago and Northwestern and may or may not be correct. See photos for best description.

1420 - New York & Oswego Midland Railroad Conductor Card

Conductor card for O.E. Purdy a conductor on the New York & Oswego Midland Railroad. The card is marked with his position, the railroad in serif font, and Middletown N.Y. The card measures 3 3/8" x 1 1/2" and has light discoloration but no creases or rips. Assumed to date after 1870 but likely before 1900.

1421 - Clear Cast Illinois Central Railroad Lantern Globe

Clear cast globe unmarked other than the ICRR cast in rectangular panel. Globe measures 5 7/16" tall with 1/8" thick rims. Globe looks unmounted with incredibly clean edges. See photos for best description.

1422 - 1899 Rand, McNally & Co. Railroad Excursion Ticket to Andrew McNally Estate

Ticket No. 342 for the July 14, 1899 departure of a special train for Illinois Teachers to the grounds of Andrew McNally in Altadena, California. The ticket lists the departure as Terminal Railway Station which is assumed to be in Chicago. The ticket is in remarkably good condition with only a minor 1/8" crease in the right edge. 1423 - Adams & Westlake "Adlake Reliable" Chicago & Eastern Illinois Lantern w/ Etched Clear Globe

Adams & Westlake "Adlake Reliable" lantern embossed with C& E.I. R.R. on the shoulder Last patent date of July 2, 1912. Body has surface rust, and mild pitting but no pinholes. Broken lid clasp button. Clear cast globe etched C&EI with a moderate crack running through and around the globe. Burner pot, fount, and wick raiser are present.

Five tickets from the Pullman Palace Car Co.. There are three variation in the group. All show some degree of wear. Four of the five seat checks predate the company name change in 1899. See photos for best description.

1425 - Keystone Casey Pennsylvania Railroad Lantern w/ Red Globe

Keystone Pennsylvania lantern embossed with P.R.R. on the shoulder. Last patent date of June 1903 The body shows light surface rust, but no deep pitting. The body was painted with copper paint and there are two additional 1/8" holes drilled in the top. Dietz Vulcan cast red globe installed. No notable chips, cracks or breaks. Burner pot, K.C. fount, and wick raiser are intact.

1426 - Louisville, New Albany and Chicago Railroad 1886 Southern Exposition Pass

1886 pass to the Southern Exposition at Louisville, Kentucky. The pass was issued to C.C. Church from the Louisville, New Albany and Chicago Railroad. Appears to be hand signed on the back by J.M. Wright the President of the Southern Exposition. Pass is No. 1100 and has minor corner and edge wear.

1427 - Armspear Louisville and Nashville Railroad Giant Lantern w/ Clear Cast L&N Globe

Armspear Giant single guard wire frame lantern with L. & N. R.R. embossed in the shoulder. Body has been repainted, is missing the globe retainer, and has light adhesive residue on the bottom edge. Clear cast globe with L&N RR cast in rectangular panel with rounded ends. Globe shows some marks and "waves", but no notable chips, cracks or breaks beyond minor rim chips. Fount, burner pot, and outside wick raiser are intact.

The reverse are both stamped with the A&W oval mark on the reverse along with a serif "S". The top of both hilts have some flattening from pocket wear, but the stampings are unaffected.

Both keys exhibit some light pocket wear at the top of the hilts and on the barrel rings on the double ringed key.

1464 - Mississippi Valley and Ship Island Railroad Brass Double Ringed Key

Key has a double ringed barrel and is stamped M V& S I RR on the front of the hilt, no markings on the reverse. The railroad existed from 1871 to 1884 and ran for a total of 11 miles. Eventually the line was absorbed by the Louisville, New Orleans, and Texas railroad. This is a very scarce key.

Brass switch key stamped with P & O RR on the front in serif font. The reverse has traces of the W. Bohannon Brooklyn NY makers mark, but most has worn away with time. The top of the hilt shows pocket wear along with the top edges of the lettering. The Peor\uFFFda and Oquawka Railroad existed for only eight years and ran 52 miles. It was eventually renamed the Logansport, Peoria and Burlington Railroad.

1472 - Kansas City, Memphis and Mobil Railway Tapered Barrel Brass Key

Key hilt is stamped K C M & M in serif font with a number 2 stamped just above the top of the tapered barrel. The reverse of the hilt is unmarked. This is another key from a short lived railroad. The line operated from 1871-1880 and was absorbed by the Kansas City Southern. Key shows little wear and even patina from age.

1473 - Columbus & Greenville Railway Round Agent Wax Sealer - Carrollton, Mississippi

Round head wax sealer from the Columbus & Greenville Railway. Sealer features a tall wooden handle and stamps C.&G. RY. CO. Pair of keys for the Vandalia Railroad. The first key has VANDALIA spelled out in serif font stamped on the front with 895 S stamped on the reverse. The key has a larger hilt and has some light pocket wear at the top of the hilt. The second key is stamped. V.R.R. in block font on the front with A 1904 in serif on the reverse. This key has more moderate pocket wear at the top of the hilt which has worn the top of the lettering.

1477 - Fairbanks Morse Illinois Central Railroad 1000 Pound Beam Scale

Scale with cast iron legs measuring approximately 22" tall. The beam measures 43" long and is stamped ICRR in serif font on the upper left end. Includes six weight plates and the hanger. The scale has a patent date of July 28, 1885 cast into the end of the beam. Typical paint loss and some mild flash rust from age. See photos for best description. The scale can be taken apart into three pieces for convenient shipping.

1478 - Groves & Sand Ridge Railroad Single Ring Tapered Barrel Brass Key

Key hilt is stamped with G & S R R R in serif font with 27 stamped on the reverse in serif font as well. The barrel is single ringed and tapered. The key shows very light wear with strong stamping and light barrel wear. The Groves & Sand Ridge existed for only two years from 1902-1904 and ran for a total of 17 miles in Illinois. It was absorbed by the Illinois Central in 1904.

1479 - Fairbanks Morse Illinois Central Railroad 200 Pound Beam Scale

Scale with cast iron legs measuring approximately 22" tall. The beam measures 25" long and is stamped ICRR in serif font on the upper left end. Includes four weight plates and plate holder. 1480 - Toldeo, St. Louis & Western Railroad Slaymaker Brass Key

Hilt is stamped TSTL&W RR in serif font. The reverse is stamped Slaymaker and 92 twice in serif font. The RR lettering on the front shows some mild pocket wear and the hole has some older unremoved flashing from the casting process.

1481 - Western of Alabama / Alabama Central Railroad - Montgomery Brass Baggage Tag

Brass baggage tag produced by Rand Avery & Co. Stamped with Montgomery and Meridian 106 W of A A.C. . Some loss of the blackening inside the 106 number, otherwise the tag shows minor scuffs and wear from age.

1482 - Galena and Southern Wisconsin Railroad Brass Tool Shed Key

Key hilt is stamped with G & S W R R in serif font with TOOL SHED stamped on the reverse in serif font as well. The barrel is single ringed and tapered. The ring shows some pocket wear on the front and back and one R in RR shows some mild wear at the top as well. This narrow gauge ling existed from 1874-1879 and purchased by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad.

1483 - Western of Alabama , Alabama Central, Vicksburg & Meridian Railroad Brass Baggage Tag

Double sided brass baggage tag produced by Hooles with what appears to be an Oct 5, 1858 patent date. There is some strap wear to the lettering which makes the date difficult to read. Stamped with Montgomery to Jackson 102. W of A A.C. -V&M- in serif font. Some mild wear to the brass and the bottom strap hole is slightly bent. See photos for best description.

1484 - Pair of Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railroad Brass Keys

The hilt of the first key is stamped CStPM&ORR ED on the front of the hilt with W. Bohannan on the reverse with a serif S. The barrel is a single ring with little wear. The lower portion of the D on front of the hilt shows some pocket wear, otherwise the key shows light wear. The second key is stamped. C. ST P M & O RR on the front with a S on the reverse and partial A&W hexagon mark. This key has some pocket wear at the top of the lettering and on the makers mark.

1485 - Seven Railroad Ticket Punches - LX, McBee, and McGill

Group of seven railroad ticket punches including punches from LX, McBee, and McGill. Four of the seven punches has some flash rust and plating wear. All punch unique designs. See photos for best description.

1486 - Bay City and Battle Creek Railway A&W Switch Key

Key is stamped B.C. & B.C. RY in block font. The reverse is stamped with the A&W hexagon makers mark and a serif S. The key shows some mild wear, but the lettering is all strong.

1487 - Minneapolis & St. Louis Railway Electric Hammond Desk Clock

Hammond desk clock with a dual color Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway face. The face has some depth to the printing as well as a matching patina to the clock. The bezel does not appear to have been tampered with. This clock appears to be correct and not a home made modification. The power cord is brittle and cracked but is present. The wooden case has wear to the top and minor chipping on the sides, but still presents nicely. The clock is untested due to the condition of the cord.

1488 - Group of four Louisville and Nashville Railroad Brass Keys

Keys are stamped as follows; L&N. R.R. D49628, L.&N. C3664, L.&N. R.R. D68772, and L. & N R.R. 4371. Keys show various degrees of pocket wear, but all are legible.

1489 - "Niagara Falls from Michigan Central Train" - Charles Graham Pre 1930 Collotype

Collotype printed image measuring 24 3/4" x 15" featuring a Michigan Central train along Niagara Falls. The original image was first printed in 1903 and was later reproduced. This version appears to date before 1930 as it is a Collotype printing with at least two bonded layers. The images does have minor lower left corner damage and a 1" tear at the top and a 2 1/4" tear at the bottom. These are minor tears and the image would still frame and present nicely. Four brass New York Central railroad keys stamped as follows; 83 N.Y.C. R.R. S, NYC. RR A&W Chicago S, N.Y.C.S. Adlake, and chromed N.Y.C.S. Adlake. Keys show various degrees of pocket wear, but all are legible.

John Black Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway framed print of "Welcome Home" Closed edition numbered 530/600. Frame measures 39" x 27 3/4". Also included is a framed system map from 1941. The frame measures 29 1/2" x 19 1/2".

1492 - Pennsylvania Railroad Keys - Knobby Hilt F-S and Tapered Barrel Single Ring

Pair of Pennsylvania Railroad keys. Includes knobby hilt stamped with PRR in serif font and F-S Hardware mark on the reverse. The second key is a tapered barrel single ring stamped with PRR in serif font. Both keys show mild wear but are legible.

The General poster measures approximately 23 1/2" x 17" and gives a brief history of the General with display information. Group of five Indiana Harbor Belt and Belt Railway of Chicago brass keys. Three IHB keys are marked as follows; IHB 7099 Adlake, IHB 14398 Adlake, and IHB RR. The BRC keys are both stamped BELT and reverse stamped 4787 Adlake and 5627 Adlake. All keys have light wear. See photos for best description.

1495 - 1899 State of New York Framed Railroad Map - Colton Ohman & Co. Printer

Large framed 1899 railroad map of the state of New York. This map was created by James B. Lyon to accompany the seventeenth annual report of the Board of Commissioners of the State of New York. The map was printed by Colton Ohman & Co. and is copyrighted 1900. The visible map measures 37" x 32" and the frame with Plexiglass measures 44" x 39". The map shows creases where it was originally folded, but beyond that, no major rips or tears.

1134A - Alarm Control Systems / ACE 40-S Cast Iron Fire Alarm Box

ACE model 40-S cast iron fire alarm box, cast with Break Glass in Case of Fire in the Door. The interior panel retains its original ACE manufacturing tag, Underwriters Laboratory tag, and original wiring. No glass installed. Original paint shows some wear and additional paint from being painted over the years. The box measures 5 " x 6 3/4".

New old stock Edwards 1251-0 steel fire alarm box. The box has never been installed and retains its original hardware packets taped to the box. The box measures 5 1/4" x 7 1/4"

1136A - Edwards Cast Iron Fire Signal Alarm / Pull Box

Edwards cast iron fire signal pull box. The box measures 6" x 8". The box has been repainted at some point and also has an 1 1/2" x 2 1/4" inch section missing out of the rear of the box. The box retains its' original wiring an the pull mechanism does appear to be intact but will not wind when the box is pulled. See photos for best description.

1137A - Peerless Cast Iron Fire Alarm Pull Box / Station

Cast iron Peerless fire alarm pull box. The box retains its original mechanism which does operate when the hook is pulled. The box measures 8 3/4" x 10 1/2". The Peerless name is etched into the brass on the mechanism inside the box. The number 13177 is stamped on the front of the box as is faint from being obscured by layers of paint.

1138A - Simplex Pull Box, Alarm w/ 10" Gong, and Safe House Alarm w/ 8" Gong

Group of electric fire gongs and a pull box consisting of a Safe House model 49-498B 12V electric alarm with an 8" gong, Simplex 4090-6 electric alarm with a 10" gong (Gong has been repainted) and a Simplex pull box without a key, untested. Both Simplex items are mounted to a board for display. All items show light wear.

1139A - Harrington Signal Company Fire Alarm Call Box

Cast aluminum fire call box made by Harrington Signal Co. The exterior is in good condition with original paint and decals on the side. The mechanism has been removed, so this box will make a nice display or is a blank canvas for repurposing. Box measures 12 1/2" x 17 1/4" x 6 1/4". See photos for best description.

ACE model 408 electric fire alarm / gong. The front retains its original ACE manufacturing tag and the gong measures 8" in diameter. Alarm retains its original wiring and has some paint wear. The alarm measures approximately 8" x 14"

1141A - Cast Iron ADT Type 1046 DG Fire Alarm Pull Box

Oval shaped ADT System cast iron fire call box. This a type 1046 DG and is marked with Signal 4-1. The box exhibits nice paint and has the original embossed Underwriter Laboratory brass plate in the interior. The mechanism does operate when the pull lever is used. The box measures approximately 6 1/2" x 9"

1142A - Autocall Type MA Cast Fire Alarm Box w/ Hammer

Autocall type MA fire call box. The box retains both its original model plate and UL plate. The box does not have a key, but does retain original wiring and is assumed to have its mechanism inside. The glass is clouded and appears that the box was wet at one time. Included is the glass break hammer which is currently detached from the box. The box has original paint and measures 6" x 9"

1143A - American Fire Department Mt. Carmel Pennsylvania Screw Back Badge

Mt. Carmel Pennsylvania fire department badge. Marked with American Mt. Carmel, PA. with black enamel background and FD 1 raised on the badge. Screw back badge with no notable condition issues.

1144A - C.G. Braxmar Towamensing Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Department Pin Back Badge

Nickel badge with black enamel lettering. Reads Volunteer Fire Co. Towamensing 1. The reverse of the badge has an embossed makers tag which reads CG Braxmar 10 12 Maiden Lane New York. The badge has some light plating wear and mild rust staining just above Fire Co. on the front of the badge.

1145A - Brass Washington Fire Company Check Tag

Brass 1 1/4" diameter tag stamped with Washington Fire Co. with a number 9 in serif font. Tag shows appropriate darkening for the age. See photos for best description.

1146A - St. James Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Pin & SACO Philadelphia Police Uniform Button

Pin back badge with the eagle top and hook and ladder emblem in the center. Ladies Aux St. James in blue enamel lettering. No makers mark, and the badge presents nicely with no notable condition issues. Also included in the lot is a SACO 1" Philadelphia Police uniform button in good condition.

1305A - Illinois Central Railroad Pancake Six Lever Brass Lock

Brass six lever pancake lock cast with I.C.R.R.. Lock has some minor nicks and wear, but no detrimental condition issues.

1307A - Buffalo, Rochester & Pacific Railway Yale Brass Lock

Yale brass lock cast with BR&P RY cast into the circular front lock body panel. The rear panel is cast with Yale. Some minor nicks on the lock body, but the cast areas of the lock are clean.

1361A - Whispering Through The Hills

West Country Bullied Pacific 34043 of the British Railways is crossing the Mendip mountainson the fabled Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway on a cool wintry afternoon. The end of steampowered operations in Great Britain took place in 1968, however the Somerset and Dorset linewas closed a couple of years before in 1966. This scene takes place sometime in the 1950’s. Thethree-cylinder design of these unique locomotives created notes reminiscent of whispering andkeeping a keen ear was essential to maximizing performance. Framed original oil painting measures 16" x 20".

1362A - The Virginian

Road Switcher No. 40 of the Virginian Railway sits outside the old Roanoke Roundhouseawaiting another assignment. This diesel-electric locomotive is a model H-16-44 built by theFairbanks-Morse Company. Number 40 was built in 1956. The Virginian was primarily a coalhauling line which operated between 1909 and 1959. This railroad was a modern, well-engineered line with all-new infrastructure and could operate more efficiently than its largercompetitors. Engine 40 was purchased near the end of the steam and ushered in both a new era of locomotive power and the end of the Virginian Railway. Original framed oil painting measures 16" x 20"

1363A - On Golden Spike

Steam engine number 119 is fired up and beginning its day at the Golden Spike National Park atPromontory Summit, Utah. This locomotive is a faithful replica of Union Pacific’s engine 119which was one of the engines which participated in the joining of the United States firsttranscontinental railroad in May of 1869. This painting was created on location during the 150-year anniversary of the golden spike ceremony(2019). Original painting measures 11"x14"

1364A - Paris Electric

We’re trackside at the Montparnasse signal tower in Paris, France. Electric powered trains andlocomotives buzz with activity at this railway hot spot in the famous French city. Passing is anSNCF MTE "BB25200" 1500V dc/25kV ac dual voltage 5,500hp locomotive builtbetween 1967 and 1976. These locomotives were used by the French National Railways inexpress service and capable of speeds up to 99mph! Original oil on stretched canvas measuring 14"x11"

1482A - Philadelphia & Reading Railroad - Philadelphia to Mahanoy Plane PA. Brass Luggage Check Tag plus BKM Brass Tag

Double sided brass luggage check tag from the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad. Tag reads Philadelphia to Mahanoy Plane Pa. Via Phil. & Read. R.R. L10912. The top edge of the tag is tamped with AM. RY S. CO. New York. Tag shows some tarnish and darkening along with some loss of the blackening inside the lettering. Also included is a small brass oval plate with B.K.M.
